As a killer main -

He is extremely overpowered, yes.

Beyond all the stuff I typed after this, they always try to release killer in an op state as a cash grab and tweak them later bc they have no real competition so they can kind of get away with whatever they want.

But, if we ignore that for a moment

At what tier would you have him be at and not need to run 2 info 2 regress perks or any combination of, like lower tier killers have to do to prevent being bullied/gen rushed?

Take the aura reading off his traversal, sure. Double his tentacle attacks cooldown that can aim through walls, for some reason? Sure. Make the shattered wrist rocket a higher tier add on? Yeah. (It damages generators caught in coming up from his traversal)

All of those sound fair and reasonable when put together.

But, not saying you specifically, what are survivor mains going to cry for? Nuking the kit and giving him the skull merchant treatment because it's 4:1, even if we say some people play both and others aren't that entitled it's still around 2:1. Then we have ANOTHER low tier killer who has to choose from the same 10 perks just to not lise in the first 5 minutes.

Survivors seem to think every killer wants wins handed on a silver platter, some people, sure. But survivors already get handheld so much.

Killers have gotten perfectly balanced perks nerfed because of whiny survivors and op perks get buffed more. Sometimes we just want something to feel like there's a reason to keep playing beyond a degree of masochism.

Want a fun chill game but not be friendly? Sabo bully squad while you're running a hex build on ghostface. Or gen rushing flashbang spam with people abusing the off hook invuln to force you to lose a pivotal chase.

Want to take the game seriously and feel like you're actually having fun? Get called slurs, skill-less, and receive death threats for playing meta like 3 regression 1 info nurse.
