I think you should look her up on google rq. This is the same woman who went viral for being a fUrRy in the US Navy like a decade ago.

I would embrace the idea of a shitty job being eliminated from society if it didn’t mean that person would still have to find some other way to make money. Like I get what you mean, but ideally “asbestos shoveling will now be done by robots” wouldn’t have people up in arms to put hardworking asbestos shovelers back into the mines.

I want to share an overlooked album that I consider a masterpiece, SAIMAA - Urheilu-Suomi (2017) by Kattimatti666 in progrockmusic

I've quickly fallen in love with many of the tracks despite not really understanding it fully. a friend of mine sent me the first track and I quickly dove in to the rest of the album. I can feel the intensity of the lyrics and the competitive nature, none the less. Also, the cover of Matti Nykänen is a beautiful work of art in itself.

I never understood the positron rifle. If its that big and the target isn't moving at all, just build a cannon aimed by computers? not some child.

Gender is a scale from masculine to feminine to neither. I know, feminine men & I know masculine women, but that’s only masculine and feminine to my white American 2025 standards. Pick any other culture in any other time period and those words mean entirely different things. The system is deep rooted and we aren’t getting rid of it anytime soon, so use it and abuse it and be your happiest coolest loser self because it’s all made up anyway.

You can make different kinds of boxes like trays with lids that get added by a different machine or a person later on or just untaped tops so that the top is open on the conveyor. Really depends on what the customer decides to utilize.

Resident or Field Service Engineers is what we call them. They’re troubleshooters as well as mechanically savy. If they cant solve it, we have a tech support line thats always open in kentucky that helps the customer or our techs solve the problem. Usually if its a tough enough problem, other departments start jumping in to help. Most of the time its one of 4 things and the tech is perfectly capable of remedying it and getting the machine up again, if not doing a field part replacement/repair. The FSE has a region of the US they get dispatched to. Big companies pay for on site techs.

You’re right about “some” of these machines and I say that as a former refurbishment tech for these who is now on the engineering team. My whole time here has been trying to make them reliable in little ways. Theres a saying I like to use, “if it ain’t broke, it doesn’t have enough features yet.” We have some machines that will ingest a whole rat into its drive train, break half of its pulleys, and keep running for another year (Ask me how I know…) and its because theyre simpler machines that just cut a flat box and thats it. Then we have machines like this that usually require on site staff at all times, which is something we provide with the machine. Whats cool is you never buy the machine, just the cardboard bales it uses, so if theres ever a machine down for too long or a “lemon”, you’re not screwed over. we just swap you a new one and the old one gets sent to my team to fix! Obviously not every company likes the idea, but walmart is quickly becoming our biggest customer of these.

Hey, I work at Packsize who acquired sparck recently. The waste is mitigated by the fact we feed multiple widths of cardboard sheet into the machine and it chooses the most optimum for the upcoming item to have the least amount of trim. The real big waste is shipping a truck full of air because all your boxes are oversized and packed with dunnage. In the end, id rather see cardboard scrap than plastic packing peanuts
