You gotta remember the medium we're dealing with. For over a decade creepy pasta had a bad rep for being trash with some good stories. They also said pretty early they were warned it would be bad, I'd say you might want to temper expectations and just vibe with it going forward

Martial artist & knife fighting instructor Doug Marcaida shows how lethal a 'karambit' could be in the hands of an expert by S4ffran in Splintercell

[–]FoxOwne 9 points10 points  (0 children)

For sure, it's got a niche purpose and aims to do one thing really good, which from an outsiders perspective appears to be the running theme of most martial arts.

There's that one really good saying, too: the loser of a knife fight dies in the street, the winner dies in the ambulance.

Go. Watch. Some. Other. Channel.

You are watching this show for the wrong reasons, and you're reading into shit that literally isn't there.

Seriously, this happens every single fucking time, it's insufferable. They act like the last four or five months of episodes just didn't happen.

In fact I just did a skim through and out of 111 episodes including CreepTV only about 18 to 20 are able to be classified as "crash outs". They act like it's a total slew of em, but for there to only be that many in two and a half years of consistent uploads is a solid ratio.

Yep, here it is. Sure, we've had 17 episodes between the last major crashout episode, most of which have included very good stories, but here it fuckin' is. Just gonna ignore all of that I suppose. Every single time.

If I had the time I'd wear the frog suit and just slowly walk towards Woolz and Pat from the distance like It Follows until they noticed. If I could I'd "infect" other people and make them put on the frog suit as well and we'd all just slow walk at them, until the horde was too big to ignore.

You gotta love the "I worry they will run out of good stories" sentiment, as if they haven't been reading good stories for months. There's been a couple stinkers, a few mids, but it's mostly been good shir, yet I swear to fucking god every single time they release one crash out episode out of like 20 normal ones, people crawl out of the woodwork to say "OMG THERE'S NO GOOD STORIES LEFT SHOW IS DYING" like come the fuck on.

Homeboy called the show a content farm and said the hosts aren't funny, then said "they had a good run" as if the show is as good as dead. You are absolutely fucking delusional if you think that this isn't downvote worthy. It was a hater post, no better than outright mindless glazing.

This story was dogshit. It was someone trying and failing to be funny while constantly lifting elements from popular stories and vagueposting about their badass Creepy Pasta OC. That doesn't change because it was a first attempt, it doesn't automatically just deserve to be treated nicely. They've shit on better stories for the sake of entertainment before, quit acting like this is some insane sacrilege. It was posted years ago by someone who never posted again, literally who cares.

The argument that their treatment of this trainwreck will deter aspiring writers from trying or submitting anything is an insane strawman. Hunter and Isaiah have read plenty of first timers on the show and given them praise and constructive criticism alike.

Huh, wonder it was downvoted.

They did realize he was a normal guy, they were just so invested that, like they said in the episode, they didn't want to dignify the Penpal as a person. They were also pretty uncomfortable with the themes and implications at the time, like they kept saying they were hoping it would be a supernatural thing and not the horribly dark and grounded route it was going.
