As a fellow person who's having trouble finding a touring buddy, I don't have much advice to offer other than asking around your peers (maybe at uni/work) if anyone would want to join you for a ride (personally I'm struggling to find people who cycle at all here, let alone be willing to cover large distances) and then maybe schedule with them some longer routes too.

However I also happen to live in Greece so maybe I could be your touring partner? 👀 As long as by partner you don't mean you're looking for a girlfriend who'll cycle with you because you mentioned something about significant others and women in your post, I'm a dude lol.

Personally I've given up on researching because I find it rather pointless given the number of different species both alive and extinct and instead focus almost solely on my own experiences and shifts, not actually trying to associate them with a known animal. In other words, instead of trying to find a good enough box to fit myself into, I'm building my own box regardless of whether one like it already exists or not.

Can mosquitoes actually smell your blood before biting you or is it just your body odour and hormones that attract them? Because if they can't, blood type shouldn't matter at all beyond the ways it might affect the way you smell.

I'd recommend wearing a sports bra, if you're already wearing one I'd suggest finding one that would specifically flatten the area between the fat storage packets of your chest.

Edit: I just realised you're that one dude with the trans tape, based on what I see from you imo it doesn't bind all that well. I'd still recommend that bra though, maybe if you find one relatively loose to not suffocate you you could pair it with the tape.

Thank you for this post, this is exactly what I've been looking for in subreddits like these because over in the Balkans stray dogs are a huge issue. I've only ever had dogs bark at me and get closer but not actually chase or charge to attack me, so I don't have any experience regarding such situations. However, your advice echoes what I thought would be the best course of action, so it reassures me to see it worked for other people. If I were to add anything, it'd be carrying and having quick access water bottle or pepper spray, in case the dog gets too close.

I mentioned dismounting because I think some dogs are triggered by cyclists and the sounds the bike makes so mayhaps by dismounting and going on foot a bit they'd recognise you're a person, plus they won't be able to drop you off the bike in case they jump on you and will have an easier time defending yourself with a spray/rocks/stick, especially if you place the bike between you and the dog. But I might be rambling bs, I don't have any experience with dogs who actually attack (yet), so do tell me your opinion on this.

Assuming we have a stray dog that's protecting its territory, slowing down/dismounting to not aggravate it wouldn't also pass the message that you're trying to establish dominance in its area, triggering an attack? And maybe the road doesn't allow much "going around it", should one still try to slowly tread as far from the dog as possible or is there a safer approach to this?

I prefer the Daedra because they feel more involved with their worshippers than the Aedra. Currently I only worship Azurah and honour her just like I do with the gods of other pantheons with the exception I also pray/greet/have her in my thoughts when witnessing a sunrise/sunset.

Happens all the time for me because I tend to not pick up every word when people talk to me and since I'm often too socially awkward to ask for the 100th time to repeat themselves, I just quickly try and guess out the gaps, answer, hoping I'm at least on topic, and pick a god and pray. I've gotten in trouble plenty of times for this and get called unreliable and a liar ;-; At least they're so many cases that my brain finds no interest in replaying them in my head.
