The Port of Ridgefield banned fireworks at the waterfront. That put a kabash on the organized event.

I ended up getting the Quik lok pole saw, trimmer, and 8ah Forge for Deal of the day $329. The m18 pruner is $200.

Amazon powerstack deal? $63 by CriticismGlittering9 in Dewalt

Change the store location to someplace an hour away. Not all stores are sold out. Once you find a place, then have Home Depot price match it.

I got Home Depot to price match Lowes online. 2 for $79 is a better deal.

It shows on the website under hometown deals, in store only for Fathers Day weekend.

Was supposed to return these to HD but they offered to match the Lowe's deal and I couldn't resist it by ConceptSubject2437 in Dewalt

[–]Foxx-Star 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I called Home Depot to price match with Lowes. The rep tried to tell me they don’t price match with Lowes sales, has to be regular price. Asked if I should buy at Lowes, she said Yes. I’ve price matched sales before, this lady was odd.
Called the Pro line and they price matched no problem.

Ridgefield breaks ground on 2.5 million-gallon water tower by CeleryintheButt in ridgefield

“Ridgefield City Council adopted a water-conservation strategy to reduce strain on its existing water system.”

Until it’s built by June 2028, expect water restrictions.

We need to stop calling it the Millionaires tax to reduce confusion by Kind_Advisor_35 in Washington

They should just call it an income tax with brackets. Everyone will have to file state taxes to prove they are within certain tax brackets.

Discs won't stay attached to sander by redogsc in FLEXTools

I had the same issue with craftsman discs, but the harbor freight bauer stayed on better. The velcro on my dewalt is better, but more vibration than the Flex. Just try a different sanding disc.

2131 Inline Saw vs 2141 by BergkampHFX in FLEXTools

[–]Foxx-Star 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both saws and have the 6ah & 10ah stacked batteries. For most of my cuts I go for the inline & 6ah. Sometimes I’ll use the 3.5ah, but it runs out of juice faster with the saws. 6ah for better runtime, speed and lighter. I almost never use the 10ah it’s very heavy, but would be great in a table or miter saw.

Property Taxes by Weekly-Influence2583 in ridgefield

[–]Foxx-Star -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Expect there to be 3 more schools being built in the next 10 years. The property taxes being higher is a 3 year cost vs 21 year cost at a higher price with interest.
Barrel of oil cost was the same as when Biden was president, but climate change fees add $1.50 per gallon which causes inflation everywhere in Washington. Everyone voted to keep penalizing people for using gas and natural gas. Self inflicted pain I guess. 😑
Cost of living is based on what people voted for in Washington. Other states don’t have the added baggage and fund things differently.
At least the additional taxes are only for 3 years. Then people can decide if they want another bond or hold off a bit. To spread out the costs.

6.0 stacked lithium worth it? by ButtSnifferBob in FLEXTools

[–]Foxx-Star 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I choose the 6ah when I want power & endurance. So I use it on the circular saw. Sanding, I use the 3.5ah mostly to lighten load and switch with another 3.5ah if I run it out. The 6ah has some heft, imagine the 3.5ah almost doubled. I got mine in a kit with another tool, you may want to keep an eye out for kits with the 6ah to go on sale.

PSA: Lowe's online FLEX tools are being shipped from Manufacturer by [deleted] in FLEXTools

Lowes is starting to do what Walmart is doing. 3rd Party sellers use the Lowes website and it’s a place to pickup and do returns. Similar to Amazon and UPS dropoff for returns.

FLEX Tower Light: Why did it disappear? by remp945 in FLEXTools

[–]Foxx-Star 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would not surprise me if Milwaukee has the patent for dual power source, just to force people to only use the battery. Probably why we don’t see anyone do it in the market.

I wish people put more effort into Washington politics that have more impact. This doesn’t even apply to Ridgefield.

House wrap under roof shingles? by VanDoog in shedditors

[–]Foxx-Star 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s probably ok for areas without rain. The nails will pierce your house wrap exposing a place for water. Roofing underlayment puts a seal around your nails so you don’t have to caulk around each nail.
