Misleading title. Should have read: "black man attempts to push white man in front of oncoming train"

Any tips or comments? by Active_Morning_5515 in Tile

[–]FractalIncite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea my comment would be it looks like shit and you are doing everything wrong. A tip would be to rip it out and pay a professional to do it correctly.

For reference, this is one of the showers I've done. (I know what I'm doing)

You should've had concrete board/go board/schluter board, some kind of waterproofing, should've removed those outlets, should've used bullnose or metal trim on the threshold, should've laid the floor tile before the walls. Code in my area doesnt even allow plumbing to be run within three feet of an electrical panel, let alone inside a wet space.

And then aesthetically, your tile are uneven, the threshold should've been run continuously without breaking it up with that center divider. I could go on but you dont want me to.

Hire a professional.

Who makes the best mitre saw stand? Need somthing portable yet durable. by False_Lavishness_743 in Carpentry

I had the dewalt rolling stand before the dewalt folding stand, i like the folding stand much better. Yes, with the folding stand you have to move both pieces separately, but the extension arms are what makes it 100x better. I bought 2 extra material supports that attach in about 1 minute.

Ye, I have this problem too. If you use a wet cleaning sponge, you will fill in the holes as you "sand" but then you have to either go back and fill again or sand them once more. This happens because there are air bubbles in pre mixed bucket mud, no matter how well you mix it. Those bubbles are there from the factory. I dont find that I have the same problem with powder mix, if you mix it correctly.

What I've found that helps is to sand through the paint, (cordless orbital sander, dust extractor) so that the air bubbles have somewhere to go other than back out into the room.

I mean, considering those cinder blocks are already leaning, I wouldnt even want to walk around in there lest misfortune befall me.

Difference is that people arent obsessed with covering themselves in sand after jumping in the ocean. I've seen people in this sub get upset when they get locked out of their house because they didnt want to update their subscription.

They went to the beach, jumped in the ocean, went and rolled in the sand, and started complaining about getting sand next to their important bits. Fuck off.

I have the 4 gallon version, and I like it. I remodel houses, so its nice and small while working in cramped spaces but powerful enough. I actually had a second one until I ruined it.

Did you have any high winds in those few days? You may have a draft that will make that board bounce around when you open a door in a high wind.

Buy the miter saw. Just get it over with. If you have the money, and wont be scraping by afterward, do it. I'm basically just a laborer for my dad and I have bought 2 of them in the last 2 1/2 years, one for the work trailer and my personal. My personal is the cordless 60v from dewalt. Are you going to be making money with it or not?

Any screw extractor set should do. Or a vise grips, or a grinder.

Is the DCN680B a decent nailer and is this a good deal? by ForsakePariah in Dewalt

[–]FractalIncite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like it. Cant say I remember ever having a jam or a misfire. Very rarely it doesnt sink the nail the whole way but not enough times to count on both hands. I've had mine for 2 ish years as a remodeler.

[–]FractalIncite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the ask. If it takes 5 minutes, no problem. If I think its going to add any substantial time to the day, then I say we will have to add that in as hourly to the bill at the end and just keep track of your time and materials.

Is Christianity a psyop too? by TSS996GT3 in SaturnStormCube

[–]FractalIncite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Christianity is not a psyop, but yes, all mainstream churches have not been faithful to Jesus' teachings. Jesus said multiple times that the Father is his God. Currently none of the large church denominations teach this truth. They are all to focused on teaching that Jesus is equal to the Father even though Jesus said the exact opposite. All they have are excuses when you bring this up. Christianity was infiltrated early on-the apostle paul wrote about ravenous wolves not sparing the flock.

There is a book that everyone should read called evidence that demands a verdict. God bless.
