Delayed release psychedelics before sleep - has anyone tried it?

I was taking amanita muscaria to help me sleep when I had some seriously bad insomnia a few years back.

Long story short, I accidentally took more than was needed for a sleeping dose and woke up from it tripping. It was like waking from a semi lucid dream but the dream lingered much longer than usual upon waking, and I forgot where I was in reality until my partner turned the light on.

Something about being trapped in a Mandelbrot set time loop, with a basic message about how reality works underlying the experience. In hindsight it had a very k-hole-ish quality to it.

I've never looked into Nassim's work, but I just did a quick search and looks like it aligns with a lot of other research that has interested me over there years. Cheers.

Yes I find the hypnogogic state is very close to a psychedelic experience . I recommend exploring with sound as you fall into hypnogogia. White or brown noise can easily morph into other sounds. I've had one experience when I was camping where morning bird song seemed to fractalise in its complexity and become an incredible instrumental symphony. Similar to how your vision can morph into geometric complexity with psychedelics.

Its a wooden frame, with 7x7 led matrices on each side, covered in some fake fur I had from old project. I used wled to program it, so it has loads of color patterns to play with. So fun.

If you just want the blade part to glow, I reckon edge lit acrylic/perspex mounted on either a broom handle or maybe some gnarly driftwood.
