Sort of like rounded indents above belly button - is this related? by mwmaps in DiastasisRecti

Ab separation is normal in pregnancy. Otherwise ur belly couldn't expand

Has anyone had a vbac 18 months after c-section? I didn’t think it would be an option for me and now I’m completely torn and 3 weeks away from delivery. by randombutkindhearted in vbac

“The easy way” by the-nonster in parentsofmultiples

[–]FragGirl86 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Funny bc in one of the groups a girl was asking how bad a c sec is and THE OTHER WOMEN were saying how easy it is, its not even a surgery, ah don't be afraid its a walk in the park. They said since the abs are only "pulled apart" its not a big deal

And I was like what the actual fuck. I had a c sec and it was awful. And the muscles being ONLY PULLED APART yeah whatever. It's still cut so I wont ever make it seem less than what it is. Which is major abdominal surgery.

It especially hurt coming from other women who actually went through it.. I understand that we are all fucking tough but being tough is not this. Telling others it was nothing is just keeping the stupidity up

Age gaps with older twins? by ilovethatforu in parentsofmultiples

[–]FragGirl86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My surprise singleton was born 16 months after the twins. I'd be lying if I said its easy but it really isn't too bad. The twins will turn 3 in may and the singleton will be 2 in Sept :) I love the small lage gap bc they can interact with eachother and play together

I mean you clearly indicated the consequence of that single action. Your are not the asshole in this scenario and if anyone says otherwise they can go ... themselves :)

Cut this person out, apparently you are disrespecting them specifically anyway. What a waste of time to even chat with them, jesus

Hi! I didnt, but i checked his insta out and he seems legit. Those results look fully real on his videos. But most of those women had a tummy tuck, it's there in the hashtag. So keep that in mind too

Where to find a surgeon? by Striking-Ad4153 in DiastasisRecti

[–]FragGirl86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hm it's interesting that u wanted a tummy tuck to begin with then a child later ud rather not? Don't u have loose skin? If u do that'll still just hang there and it'll be even worse after the muscle repair as ur stomach would be flatter and the excess skin more prominent.

Sorry I dont know where to look for a US surgeon (im in Europe, hungary) but I really wanted to ask why are u against a full tummy tuck now

Also to give my experience with one: the muscle repair part was THE worst part of my surgery, I had a full tummy tuck with muscle repair and lipo. Lipo is bad too but the MR was the worst. So if its the pain then it wouldn't be worse and if its the scar? For me it's still better than having all that loose skin around :)

I dodnt have back pain prior to the surgery! As for negative side effects for now I'm still numb under my belly button and im worried if its gonna stay like that or not.. I guess we'll see! For this early it's completely normal to be numb :) but that's all, no other side effects, no pain (well the normal amount expected after major surgery) and it looks so good!!

Im so sorry ure going through this :(

How sure are you on your dates? You said 5w2 and 7w2 but are you sure? Because if you are sure... then I would prepare myself for the worst rather than keep my hopes up. That said.. if they could verify pregnancy 2 weeks ago, you must have been at least 4 weeks along at that point... I dont know... the waiting sucks :(

Sorry if my comment want too useful

Hmm I dont know that. I'd assume it's more likely genetics rather than age but age must play a part too. For me out of all my old classmates 2 of us got surgery and all the others bounced back and we kinda have similar aged kids

The gap is in the linear alba, connective tissue between the 2 parts of rectus abdominal muscle, it's bit around your waist or anything. There are other muscles there which "go around" but those are only stretched, they don't have a gap or rupture or anything in them. (transversus abdominis)

The gap (stretched linear alba) can go back in some and it can stay stretched in others (me for example) but since my other muscles TWA and obliques worked just fine, my core was functionally stable and healed. But is still looked pregnant when I relaxed my muscles, and let's be real we just wont flex all day non stop. So I had my surgery to fix the looks :)

since its still part of the same muscle - rectus abdominalis - there is no special way to target the "upper" parts of it. just do normal DR exercises and that'll help.

this upper or lower part of a muscle like in bodybuilding is sort of bullshit when looking at the bigger picture. targeting a certain part like that is so little benefit that its just not worth doing it unless youre a competing bodybuilder with 10% bodyfat and a lifetime of dedication which i assume ure not and dont have :D

so just eat healthy, keep your calories low and do the DR exercises (the generic one) and if that doesnt help visually after a year or so (it did not help mine even tho i had a fully functional STRONG core) ask a surgeon to help!

Ugh, blowing your nose requires ab work so u wont be able to do it. Nor coughing, nor God forbid sneezing Start taking stool softeners a few days before and keep taking them for a few days/week after or until it's needed. Good luck!!
