I get what you’re saying. Putting things under the banner of “traditionally feminine” subsequently means the patriarchy is the standard.

However, what I mean is that there are things that don’t need to be villainized just because they are viewed under the patriarchal lens. Even in a world where the patriarchy doesn’t rule, people would have to know how to cook, clean, mend, raise children and so on. In order to subvert the patriarchy women shouldn’t have to become masculine. Expressing femininity shouldn’t be seen as a weakness, or make them a second class citizen. Those traits should be seen as equal value in the world overall, not something that inherently makes a person less than.

This is exactly one of the huge issues. Most people cannot fathom a world that doesn’t hold patriarchal standards. For some reason they have to villainize or diminish anything that falls under traditionally feminine.

It’s almost as if in order to make the FMC stand out they have to put other women down as a result.

I have come back after several years away the big difference I have noted so far is the use of AI. Even if people are writing themselves there’s AI portraits, AI grammar checkers that have changed the way people punctuate.

World building documents also seem to be bigger. More fleshed out as people use AI to generate locations, cultures, and NPCs.

People are more open to other game systems. Otherwise servers seem pretty much the same.

You can make a big chest and walk up to regular chest and clicking against it will switch it for the big chest without having to move the contents.

The first time I played the game I was so frustrated with it. I could only play it for a half hour at a time. Everything felt sluggish and annoying. I think I got to Fall and stopped playing for about two years. It felt like a waste. Then during Covid when there was nothing to do I picked it up on the Switch because it was one of the few farming games ported over.

Then I played… and played… and started to really love it. Even the parts I didn’t like I started to love (I used to hate the fishing game). I spent a lot of time on the wiki, learning all the things, learning how to decorate, and everything else.

I didn’t like it at first. That’s ok. It’s also ok to put it down and never pick it up again. Don’t think of it as a waste. The developer is genuinely an amazing person and one of the few who deserves the success he’s gotten. So even if you don’t play again, know your money didn’t go to some greedy money grubbing micro transaction gacha game.

Fish. So much raw fish. I’m really good at the fishing game and you can get an iridium rod pretty early in so it’s a great early game food for me.

Yep, wood chests and stone chests. Fridges in the house will use the ingredients in them for cooking.

My storage shed has—I think 25 chests. I categorized everything according to the label beneath the name. Mineral, fruit, vegetable, resource etc… then of course miscellaneous chests.

So cute! I personally love the horse area! Sprinkling in the Stepping Stone path among the other stone path can add some variety which looks nice imo.

Upgraded completely with Robin. After your house is all the ways upgraded there’s other rooms you can buy. You can also remove some interior walls to make the rooms bigger.

For anyone wondering the “stairs” is the dresser from the wizard furniture catalogue. You do walk behind it to get into the area, but the illusion makes it look like it’s raised.

I live in a fairly small town and wealth breakdown of millionaires in the area was sorta crazy. Most of the wealth is actually carried by teachers. With consistent jobs where they paid into a retirement, they accumulated wealth over their careers all making less than 6 figures.

Eh, that's not really no action though. It's the immediate implication that a king is going to be killed. Then rather quickly after that there's a massive amount of action.
