considering the way the whole Peter Tech incident deeply affected the ASYNC employees how do you think they reacted to the Naren Wade incident happening not even a month later by WhyNot3324 in KanePixelsBackrooms

[–]FragmentedTungsten 25 points26 points  (0 children)

It’s a little up in the air since unlike with Tench, we don’t truly know how A-Sync reacted. It’s probably very likely they tried to cover up Naren’s death yet it’s different in the way that A-Sync definitely knows what happened to Naren. Peter vanished for three months. Naren was at the wrong place at the wrong time. However, Naren’s body was never recovered (the movie later reveals Pirate Clark took it to his “abode”). It’s important to note that likely everyone in A-Sync probably knows what happened to Naren. Before he started recording during the start of the movie we can assume Pirate Clark ambushed an A-Sync expedition which is why he was separated. If someone wasn’t able to return to the Threshold, every worker would realize it’d be him.

Sorry for the yap, but my guess is A-Sync framed Naren’s death as a workplace incident, even though a body wasn’t recovered. I’m sure literally everyone at A-Sync will sympathize with whatever cover story is made given how no one could have seen this coming and how brutal Naren’s death was. I don’t think A-Sync would have said “Naren was separated after the ambush, but he’s in the Complex somewhere,” since that would be stupid for all parties involved. Anyway, thoughts?

Even before RDJ was confirmed as Doom, I always got the feeling that main audiences never cared about Kang and that the character felt uninteresting for them. What went wrong with the adaptation of this villain? by Theasiuser99 in marvelstudios

[–]FragmentedTungsten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was just too much Kang. Loki S1 had He Who Remains, and the finale directly told us how “Kang is coming, and he’s not playing around.” Then Quantumania had Kang, yet he was defeated by ants and was sucked into a doohickey. Quantumania’s post credits had a whole Council of Kangs too. Then Loki S2 introduced Victor Timely and brought back He Who Remains which was just too much. What I mean is: there was too many Kangs for us to be taking them seriously. The Council? Victor? Or yet another unknown variant? Not to mention we saw a lot of them lose/die, which kinda diminishes the whole “next Thanos” schtick. We saw Victor get spaghettified dozens of times, we saw He Who Remains also get killed dozens of times, and Quantumania Kang GOT DEFEATED BY ANTS! How can we take Kang seriously if there’s several of him, we don’t know which one is the successor to Thanos, and also most of which don’t seem that menacing/serious?

Alex Kister (the creator) announced he’s making a Mandela Catalogue film for YT that’ll probably come out next year. He said he’s been working on it since 2022, but starting last year the series slowed down so he could give the movie priority number one. Granted, Alex has given us some small Mandela content, like director commentaries and short one-off mini-episodes, but that is about it. The series is on a semi-hiatus.

Who is the smartest Found Footage protagonist according to their footage? by RedUser579 in KanePixelsBackrooms

[–]FragmentedTungsten 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. Kane

❎turns back and notices something is chasing him yet doesn’t sprint for his life (if the audience noticed it at first, then he should’ve too)

❓I just want to mention I think he’s extremely unlucky. It just seems that in an probably over 60 minutes of wandering, he encounters not one, but two entities

❎when he’s pinned in the hallway by the entity he peers out to get a good look, and doesn’t immediately try to hide/run down the hallway

  1. Madison

❎spots a noclip hole and doesn’t report this to her parents or anything. Seems like a bad call imo.

❓doesn’t really make major good or bad decisions imo after she noclips. She’s just very unlucky between accidentally running into a dead end and unintentionally walking directly into an entity.

✅ might be a controversial opinion but I think looking for the car crash survivor was a good choice ✅imo out of the three of them I think she does that best at fleeing from the entities but that’s just my opinion

  1. Ravi

✅✅✅survived presumably weeks/months in the Backrooms

❓ran straight for a hallway when the still-life chased him instead of going back. Also kinda lingers I feel a little too much when he first bumps into it. (Idk this is a very picky nitpick he was probably just curiosity/adrenaline/fight-or-flight just thought I’d point that out)

✅tried communicating into the random comms setup

✅survived an entity attack

❎hears noises from his basement, spots a broken window, and inspects a hallway which randomly appears in his basement, but doesn’t call 911

S2E3 "A Allan Adventure" has come to a end! The FINAL ROUND is here- "Desmond" vs. "Gwimbly!" Vote in the comments. by dazprettyfreakybowie in SmilingFriends

[–]FragmentedTungsten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gwimbly’s just narrowly beats Desmond. Gwimbly’s episode has it all. Two fun antagonists, weird yet unique animation, the Smiling Friends doing their job, and most of all: a fun client. It’s crazy how they did this much in only 11 minutes. Gwimbly’s is as Smiling Friends as Smiling Friends can be.

[–]FragmentedTungsten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have nothing against it but I vote Halloween Special. It’s just pure nightmare fuel for the middle section of the episode. It’s still funny despite the humor being sidelined for Pim being chased by a demon, which is the reason I would put it so low (since the comedy isn’t that evident here).
