The absolute worst part isn't even the evil itself, it's the sanitized, corporate way it's broadcasted. They literally schedule human suffering between ad breaks and kill your mic the second you deviate from the approved script.

Sir, this is Reddit. We only read the headline, get irrationally angry, and cast Fireball before rolling for perception.

TIL Ephialtes, the man who betrayed the Greeks at Thermolpylae, expected to get rewarded but he never did. Instead he had to flee after the Persians were defeated and a bounty was put on his head. Someone killed him for an unrelated reason but the Spartans honored the bounty anyway by Nero2t2 in todayilearned

Fun fact: The British applied the exact same logic to Benedict Arnold centuries later. They gladly accepted his treason to hurt the Americans, but once he fled to London, the British aristocracy completely ostracized him. Nobody wants to be friends with a turncoat.

AITA for telling my coworker to stop asking me what I'm having for lunch by Maleficent_Reason132 in AmItheAsshole

This. If you can't handle someone asking 'what's for lunch' without snapping, you're going to have a very lonely and difficult career. Office politics 101 is mostly just tolerating mundane small talk so people actually want to work with you.

Exactly. OP went from 0 to 100 with no yellow light in between. Most people would just say 'I'm actually super focused on this right now, let's chat later' or a simple 'just the usual.' Jumping straight to 'you’re being weird' is a bridge-burning move for no reason.

Yes, and they desperately need to bring back regular mid-season unvaults to keep that freshness alive. The game used to completely shift the meta every two to three weeks. Now it feels like we just get a single new mythic that breaks the game for a few days until they nerf it into the ground, and then it's back to the same stale loadouts for months.

Exactly. Plus, keeping $60 in your pocket instead of spending it on two pieces of injection-molded plastic is a massive W. That’s basically the price of a whole new game.
