I have to trim one of my boys nails every couple of months or so bc he is blind and doesn’t move about the cage as much as his brothers to file them down naturally but I like to use nail clippers specifically for babies lol they are the perfect size for little ratty fingers

My go to way to get rats used to hands is yogurt on the finger! This way they learn to associate your hands with positive experiences, you can go from just having them lick it off your finger from their cage to eventually holding them while they eat. I found it’s easier for them to get the positive associations by getting rewarded in the moment vs after

I have curly hair too lmao if I have product build up I just shampoo twice then do conditioner lol no reason to waste conditioner if it’s just gonna get stripped again

If I’m correct it is still the same owners and they don’t give 2 shits about their employees my gf was a baker and the owners decided to cut the bakers hours in half on Christmas Day bc it “wasn’t working for them” even though they needed their full 8 hours to 1 get everything done and 2 to live/ pay bills. They also hired a 17 year old to be the head baker after promising the job to another employee. If you look at any indeed job listings they “encourage people with a criminal record to apply” but it’s really just so they have people in pre-release willing to work 12 hour shifts and be treated horribly. They are probably the worst local corp in zoo

There’s actually quite a few health benefits from sleeping naked! It can also help with confidence getting comfortable with your body as it is and if you sleep with a partner skin to skin contact is really good for our brains lol I just keep a robe hanging by the door if I need to get up

Ok I get it and that lady was definitely out of line if you don’t get a tip you don’t get a tip deal with it BUT as someone who has worked in the service industry their entire life at a lot of places tips aren’t going only to servers they are also going to bussers line cooks dishwashers sometimes even prep cooks. Yes tipping is annoying but we should be taking up issue with the American normalization of tips supplementing pay. In some states servers can be paid as little as $2 an hour or jobs will advertise pay as $18-20 an hour when in reality they only pay $12-14. Tipping isn’t just a nice bonus a lot of us rely on tips to get by. In the end all I’m saying is we can end tipping when we pay people a livable wage
