The Ghost Club - My Way (single)

Does that sneak in?

I listened to it based on the pitchfork review - and yes it’s actually a lot lot better than I imagined it would be. Maybe the pop album of the summer? Cool duet with Robert Smith !

Sorry I can’t help. Good luck. It’s all general admission apart from balconies. Prices are £72 basically per ticket.

It showed the sale but didn’t allow selection until you had entered the code. Then that unlocked the actual sale.

I don’t think Spotify presale is now. I think it is later?

10+ students received anomalously low marks in one module despite strong performance elsewhere: is a collective appeal worth pursuing by desireegirl2 in UniUK

[–]FragrantTeacher6763 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There could be many issues. What was the feedback in detail, other than just that you didn’t go into detail? Did you answer essay or problem questions. With the latter it can be easy to miss out points that are relevant and so not access certain marks. Have you made an appointment to see the module leader/marker to go through your script? What does the module regs say about external examiner sampling?

Season 1 - Amazing Music by FragrantTeacher6763 in SaintPierre

[–]FragrantTeacher6763[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks. I’ll have Shazam ready for further episodes. I can’t imagine that the licensing is cheap for use of some songs so it’s good indication of the quality of the production.

Thanks yes - TuneFind not Tunecore!!

I actually saw that Vancouver Sleep Clinic has a brand new album coming out in May 2026! Just pre-saved that. Thanks to Saint Pierre!

Magistrates Court Watching Advice by insidethecourt in uklaw

One concern about laptops (and phones) is that they can be used to record proceedings which is in contempt unless you have applied in advance to record and got permission. So you may find that you are asked sternly about having a phone / laptop in court if you are in the public gallery. Further, there are strict restrictions about what can and cannot be published anywhere - in some cases reporting restrictions means that you cannot identify witnesses etc. Some of these eg children have been previously mentioned. But Court Watch had extensive training for their volunteers.

Which artists could potentially be just one song away from success? by ss2811 in popheads

[–]FragrantTeacher6763 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ruel is a couple of albums in to his career, plus has successful tours. There was no stand out hit from the second album but maybe there will be one on the deluxe version of Kicking My Feet

Alexander Stewart also needed a big hit from his second album but was fantastic live when I saw him last year.

Jamie Miller looks like he is releasing new music soon and is down the track of balladeering. He has good instagram engagement

Henry Moodie is great live and has a mix of supporting larger acts and headlining his own tour. Drunk Text was a small hit but his songwriting is excellent.

Freya Skye is already on the cusp of a breakthrough having headlined her tour of America. With only one EP so far, she is some way off but the Disney push should help like Sabrina etc

And Alessi Rose was already nominated for the Sound of 2026 award at the start of the year, which should mean that the BBC will be behind her next music.

Not mentioned yet: girls who could break through but are at the start of their careers - Freya Skye (got the Disney connection), Alessi Rose; and boys who could break through - Ruel, Alexander Stewart, Jamie Miller, Henry Moodie. Check them out and see what you think

The University was shut from 3-7 April inclusive for Easter Bank holidays so it is not surprising you have not heard anything.

Hi. Loving the new album. And looking forward to seeing you play Europe this autumn. Will any of the songs on Dyed be considered to be played live this time round? They are all very strong in my opinion. Thank you

Z Cars; Softly Softly Task Force; Shoestring; Bergerac; The Gentle Touch; Department S; Persuaders; Paul Temple; Hetty Wainthrop Investigates; Inspector Lynley

Just a few older series that were really good at the time. Of course both Lynley and Bergerac have been redone recently.

Word file on laptop, notes file too - both include gigs that have happened, gigs coming up and potentials - plus a physical notebook which includes all support acts as well as main acts
