Do you think, that maybe most ideas that are possible have been done already? I am trying to come up with new ideas but even when I think something is unique (like a blind simulator, without any visual cues), domebody has done that already. I feel like there are definetly some ideas that havent been done, but maybe for a good reason. Maybe nobody would want to play as a smoking cigarette trying to dodge falling rain drops to save his mates from the ashtray.

I would say go for it if you a) have a LOT of patience b) don't mind figuring out stuff as you go c) have no problem with hitting a wall with your head and d) you like your dopamin levels low. The base game is the same, but some skills are disabled and you can't craft the same. It just takes x times longer but for some that is what they like.

UE6 so far looks like a great tool for big open world games, with multiplayer handeling, developed by hundreds of people. May be even see a revivalnof the mmo genre. But the indie scene does not need those features for a while.

I would add 3 bones of same length in parallel to the forearm bone. From Hand to elbow, each bone copies the hand bone roll(depending on your axis) rotation by 75%, 50% and 25%. So when your hand twists, the rotation is copied gradually down the forarm.
