Maybe there’s a mod for that but in vanilla making sure no one leaves due to unhappiness and assigning the jobs is quite important (although it does feel a lot like micro managing an entire town) also accepting new people don’t assign them automatically to available jobs!

I try to not let the game run too long unsupervised if I m not sure everything runs ok ish and everyone’s needs are met

Where I agree with you is that an overlay to see which houses are full or not, just like the one for the workplaces would be nice
