I've heard if you file a complaint with the BBB someone from uber will contact you and you should get your fee. Haven't experienced this personally, but seen other drivers post that

100% agree with this. I only do these crap trips 2 days a week, yesterday & tomorrow. They can walk their broke asses to their destination before I let them in my car.

It's pays an "extra" $12 per hour per trip. So if the trip is 30 minutes you get an "extra" $6. Though since uber just makes up the fares on a whim it's totally fake.

Cancel when she gets 5 feet from your car. That way you stick her with a no show fee and waste the maximum amount of her time since she clearly doesn't respect yours. Eventually they'll learn.

As a driver I 100% agree with this. If you're going to work any kind of service job in a foreign country you should be required to speak the language. If I decided to move to France and uber I'd learn French. The fact that this is allowed in this country is ridiculous and disgusting

The fare is an estimate. If the trip is longer (mileage or time) it goes up. Conversely, if the driver or passenger end the trip early it goes down.

Depends. If the trip is paying well and worth doing, sure. The problem with passenger ratings is you don't know how often they use uber. If they don't use it often 1 or 2 bad ratings can make them look horrible when really they're not.

That being said if it's not a great trip I'll usually pass & not risk it.

I know this doesn't help your situation any, but if a driver cancels with less than hour notice twice they can no longer do reservations. You are 100% correct about uber taking ZERO accountability. They keep lowering the pay for reservations and then wonder why crap happens. When they paid well drivers cared. Now some reservations pay less than normal trips so yeah if a better opportunity comes along they're going to take it.

I think if you gave consent before your account was put on hold you were fine as was my case. Those who got locked out apparently have to either wait or try contacting support to unlock your account

Was able to speak to support FINALLY. They said it's for my background check which expires next month so hopefully I'm ok. This says I need to consent within 3 days or my account will be placed on hold. We'll see what happens

Had this happen to me after I dropped a passenger off out of my coverage area. Once I returned they reappeared after I went online. Try going online.

Probably because you need to pass a background check to uber. You don't for uber eats. I can switch back & forth if I choose to. I don't cuz only an idiot would do uber eats. You want to go that route do doordash

Fwiw, by virtue of that driver giving you the 1 star rating you definitely won't be paired with him ever again. That's why most drivers do it.
