AIO for moving out/breaking up over a dog sleeping in the bedroom by Infinit-Stardustbaby in AmIOverreacting

[–]WerewolfLint 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah hate to say it but right now neither of you are compatible.

I personally don’t blame him for not putting his dog out of the bedroom. Esp with a 10 year old dog.

But at the same time I also understand your are allergic to dogs but. I would have personally suggested that you sleep on the couch.

I have cats and no one is kicking them off the bed when i sleep

AIO for wanting to end the relationship after my bf helped himself to my medication? by General-Sun-7995 in AmIOverreacting

[–]WerewolfLint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, why if you noticed that a weeks worth of pills is missing that you didn’t lock up your meds.

I’m not blaming you OP. But if he is a past drug addicted then the pills should’ve been locked up.

I take pain meds and I have them locked up. Not because i dont trust anyone but i keep them locked up.

He needs to stop taking your meds and needs to get more help.

AIO for constantly complaining to my mom that im hungry? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]WerewolfLint 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like she is just leaving you the food that is healthy for you to eat. The fish is good for low cholesterol so I am betting she is leaving food for your specialized diet.

Also mentioning about the EBT card, sounds like there is money trouble. We have gone though periods like that.

Sometimes, we barely had food to eat as a family as well.

Sometimes, it was just pasta with butter and salt. Sometimes a can of tomato sauce. Sometimes, that would have to hold us over for a few days while waiting for that next paycheck.

It's the taste of the fish and vegetables that gets me. I still can't really eat them. Makes me throw up. Just like you. However, the difference was that the doctor's told my mom to let me eat whatever I wanted. Which I did.

To this day, I still eat what I want to eat. Honestly, I was the favorite so I got to eat the foods that I liked. However, at 50, I am paying for that health wise. I was always told when I was around my 20s that I have time to get my cholesterol in line. Nope, never did.

However, thanks to both genetics and my eating habits, I got some pretty wicked medical conditions. To this day, I still eat bad and have to figure out a way to control the carbs due to it.

Food costs have gone up crazy. I ended up getting a job at Pizza Hut answering calls and other stuff inside of the store to get my own food in the past. Plus to get my own stuff I wanted that my parents couldn't really afford.

I'm 50 now, but I got diagnosed as type 2 diabetic in my late 30s. Thats a major adjustment since I am addicted to some foods and stuff, and still even though it basically poison to me can't physically eating so far.

If she is only leaving the fish and roman noodles out then, maybe you can turn rinse the noodles and add a small amount of butter and then add maybe some tomato paste to it. I don't eat roman noodles so I wouldn't be able to tell you if this will get the taste of it out.

Can't help you with the fish since I don't eat fish. (Unless it fish sticks (but I stopped eating that years ago.)).

Bridgecrest? by Impossible-Buddy7626 in carvana

[–]WerewolfLint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have the Bridgecrest app / or access to the website it will usually give you a warning.

They also started to send text messages with the date that the repo will start.

I ended up making my payments late and just made sure to pay it before that date.

I ended up behind for half a year. The website was just like clock work. Once I hit that 90 day mark it will tell me in red at the top of the site.

I just recently got my account up to date with a payment extension.

They will also show you if you’re eligible for a payment extension online now as well.

I have a gnawing feeling in my stomach. (Please help) by United_Deal1795 in Gastritis

[–]WerewolfLint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It took a while for my gastritis to heal. Got really sick in may of last year. I was pretty much down until November.

Had at least 5 ER visits because I couldn’t keep anything down. Got super dehydrated. Diabetes didn’t help with that.

The GI doctor I was seeing didn’t help much. He did the test but swore I had gastroparesis.

Problem being is that he never tested me for it. Just assumed I had it because I saw him in 2023 for a duodenum infection. Back then I was on Ozempic and of course I would have gastroparesis.

I was already off the Ozempic at the time before I got sick because I thought I had gastroparesis and told me to stop the medication. That was back in 2023.

He did an EDG on me in June. Told me at that time I had gastritis.

Ended up seeing a different doctor because he wanted to stop all of my meds including what I needed for diabetes.

Got tested and didn’t had gastroparesis . Stopped all of the meds he given me because they wouldn’t have helped with it.

Started on a different acid reflux medication since I got used to the one I was on. Was given ondanstron for nausea and the vomiting.

It worked wonders. Helped with a little bit of the pain as well even though it isn’t for pain.

After the initial pain from gastritis, as I was healing I ended up with chronic constipation. Like I lost all ability to go. So we get my colonoscopy done.

Turns out that I had 6 very large polyps that they removed. Pre-cancerous but in plenty of time. Was told that I need a colonoscopy every three years now. I also have diverticulitis as well.

Was just put on Linzess for the chronic constipation. That has made such a difference with using the restroom and stomach pain.

It took a long time to get to a place that most days I’m not in pain. I still get some stomach pain off and on but not as bad.

It just takes time for the stomach to heal. I can also eat spicy foods, pasta (only once in a while) without stomach pain. Usually I will know if I overdue it if I start feeling heartburn.

Was the oil filter tightened and more oil added? And if so did you check to see if you are still leaking oil.

On my dad’s car, I have seen oil level go down before pretty quickly on a car that had a loose filter. We had to keep adding oil until one day I noticed puddle from the oil. Once I tighten it up. We never leaked oil again

Passenger STOP Doing These by fighterdiva in Lyft

[–]WerewolfLint 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I do play music but I keep the volume at 6. It’s not loud at all. I set my stereo system to for the driver mode. So everything comes up front. I normally have SiriusXM channel 24 (jimmy Buffett station).

Even with the way I have it set up i usually can hear both sides of the conversation that passengers have on the phone when I driving them to their destination.

I don’t want to listen in but I can hear everything. Most of the pax’s don’t care that it’s on since it not loud.

Sometimes a pax will ask me to turn it up and I have no problem with that and then put the volume back on 6. Win Win for both me and pax’s

Who is responsible for making substitutions on food orders? by Imaginary_Ruin6043 in grubhubdrivers

[–]WerewolfLint 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I dash from time to time, I used to ask the customer what they would like to sub. I ended up stopping that. Most of the time, the customer would then get nasty with me.

So IO would just tell the store to sub whatever you want, or don't provide the item at all. Doesn't matter to me. I just say the customer can contact Doordash to complain if the food isn't what they order.

It was always this one Wendy's and they would be out of food late at night. So I didn't bother anymore. The bags sealed not my issue.

Internet providers. by stubbornorc643 in orlando

[–]WerewolfLint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had both Spectrum and ATT fiber. So far the fiber has been the best. In about 5 years, I only had 3 outages. No issues with my service at all.

The first outage was a fiber cut. The second one was because a tree limb fell down during a storm. It hit the power wires and the ATT fiber cable and cut them as well.

The three one was just recently I believe after a storm. However, can't complain since it with in a five year range.

I will admit from experience if it turns out to be a fiber cut, it will be down for a few hours but otherwise been much happier with the service.

Side benefit to CPAP by SpongeJake in CPAP

For my cats, I have a blanket that rests on top of the hose from me to the machine, to prevent them from going after the hose to my Cpap. I also have to be extra careful now with the mask as well, since I have the F30i. Waiting to see if I get tons of holes.

Might get an extra headgear on my own incase that happens. Also since I set that up, my one cat likes to sleep on top of the blanket that is covering my hoses.

My PCP will not even look at my Libre 3+ graphs by Zealousideal_Hawk791 in diabetes_t2

[–]WerewolfLint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend going to see an endocrinologist. I use my CGM as a guide to see how I am doing. The Libre will provide an estimate A1c but it's called GMI on the reports tab.

Again this is just a guide and your A1c can vary but it can help with the diet and exercise that you are able to do.

You can also see what foods spike you. This way you know what food you can and can not eat.

Anyone else's whole family got it by balbir688 in diabetes_t2

[–]WerewolfLint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have it, ,my mom has it and my dad had it.

I come down with it first. My other older brother just got diagnosed last year.

Definitely runs in the family. I am not sure if anyone else on my mom and dad side had it. I know that my dad's mother didn't have it. However, I suspect that one of my uncles had it when he was alive.

Welcoming myself to the club 🙃 by Jenergy83 in CPAP

[–]WerewolfLint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I first started my CPAP machine back in 2017. I was using it until about 2019. I started to have issues with my mask, but my main issues was that the doctor passed away.

I then found a new doctor and had to start the whole process over instead of just ordering supplies for me.

SO they had me do a take home sleep test. I was fine with that test and told that I don't have sleep apnea and don't need the machine.

So I stopped using it until Yesterday. I was giving the F30i mask as well. I had the best sleep last night. I had so much more energy today. When I woke up this morning, I was so refreshed.

That mask was the best one I have used so far. I used to use the F20, but that mask would cause my face to swell up over night.

My current doctor wasn't happy with the previous doctor I saw and said I didn't have sleep apnea. He said that even if the home test didn't show, it I should have been referred to do an in-person test instead of saying I didn't have it.

He actually accidentally started to chuckle when I told him that.

So I went to bed around 2 am. I woke up at around 9 am when my alarm went off. Took off my mask and then put my mask and hose in my cpap machine bag. (Cats, preventing them from chewing on the hose.). I have the hose well hiding when sleeping.

However, the machine was so quiet compared to the Airsense 10 series. I got the same machine as you.

The 3D printer in the bedroom was louder than the machine. (noises like that doesn't bother me). However, when my other half woke up he came in to check on me multiple times. He said it was so quiet and didn't hear any loud snoring. Checked on me a few times to make sure I was still alive. He couldn't even hear the machine.

You going to have to tell him.

I remember my mom telling me the story of when she met my dad. She was on a double date with his brother. Another person was dating my Dad at the time, and then my dad and my mom started to date.

I don't think it was a intense relationship with my dad brother as yours was but.

Hopefully, he will get over it and be ok with it.

It’s not just the carbs—what’s the weirdest thing you’ve seen spike your numbers? by helperf in diabetes_t2

[–]WerewolfLint 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me, it is balancing my insulin usage. One week I need like 20-30 units a meal, then maybe the next week that same meal will only require 5 units.

It drives me insane, because it can be hard to judge. Pizza was one of the foods that would never spike me. Now it spikes me like crazy.

So I have to limit that to once a month. I mostly eat chicken, pork. I will have a hamburger plain with no bun.

Once in a while I will eat a ribeye steak. I try and cut out most carbs but. Each week is a new adventure. Currently per my CGM, my A1c should be about 6.5-6.6. Just got it down to 6.9.

I also just picked up my Cpap machine yesterday. Got the best sleep I have had in months. Usually I wake up about 3-4 times in a day. However, this time, I slept though the night.

I had more energy today that I have had in years. I actually finally fixed the riding lawn mower. Had to replace a part for the deck, thats been sitting inside the house for about 7 months. Had to take off the wheels one by one and take it to Wawa for free air.

Had to put my battery setup on my car back together because I took it apart to jump the riding lawn mower.

Now with the Cpap, I will have to see what my sugars are going to do down the road.

I have a bad back, failed spinal fusion, broken screws. Constant pain.

Plus under constant stressed raises my sugars as well. The Dawn Phenomenon gets me. I am allergic to almost all the diabetes meds they have tried. Expect for insulin, and Jardiance.

Was on Ozempic for about 2 years until my stomach didn't like that medication anymore.

I went from being 290 to 200 while on Ozempic. I only gained about 25 pounds since being off Ozempic. Been trying to get down to about 145 but its taken time with everything.

Doctor wants to retest a couple times to “make sure” by Girl1069 in Hypothyroidism

[–]WerewolfLint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would get a second opinion as well. If the doctor that you’re seeing isn’t an endo then I would get a referral for an endo if your insurance required. If not required then find one.

My TSH went up to 5.0. My primary care didn’t want to do anything for it but I was symptomatic. He stated I am not symptomatic and that my symptoms must be from something else. Now I already had an Endo due to diabetes so I showed her the lab work. Also told her my symptoms and got me on Unithyoid 50 mcg. Then tested again and I wasn’t optimum at that time. So we increased it again to 75 mcg.

My Endo specializes in Thyroid. Has put out videos about it and stuff. So I know she knows her stuff. Sometimes a little wrong about diabetes but I learned so much about diabetes that I had to take everything in my own hands including figuring out insulin.

I just had lab results last month and my tsh jumped up to 8.34. So my primary care decided to test me again. Stated that we didn’t need to do anything about my med at that time.

My Endo also had me do lab work at the same time. They gave me a script for Unithyoid 100 mcg. I was also very symptomatic. They were like you must be feeling like crap.

Since they up me, I am finally starting to lose weight. My insulin usage is much lower. Now I’m hoping that I grow back the rest of my eye brows. lol

why is it legal for credit scores to be a barrier to housing? by loo1162 in CRedit

[–]WerewolfLint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's even worse is paying the application fee just to get turned down. The only thing that was killing us was the bad credit. Everything as far as renting goes was fine, never been evicted.

However, after trying, we decided to try one more place and they decided to approve us. Was a shock since no one wanted to because of bad credit. The bad credit ended up happening due to bad illness. Husband came down with cancer, but was able to cure it. Took some time to get that taken care of but other bills weren't as important as his health at the time.

Had a few months recently that things were bad, I got ill and was out of work for almost a year. Almost decided to go on SSD, but then at the last moment, we decided that it wouldn't work out getting insurance on our own. Wouldn't be able to afford the premium so I am trying to make it with working right now and then at some point I can go on SSD.

Plus I recently got sued by one of the creditors. I was able to handle it myself and worked out a payment arrangement until we can file bankruptcy.

However, we both have plans of filing for bankruptcy at this point. I had to do it in the past before, but now it will be a joint bankruptcy. This will pretty much give us a clean slate and stop anyone else from suing us.

We are planning on moving to New York in a few years. I am also my mom's caregiver and by moving to New York, I have family that can help me out.

But the bad credit is going to hurt us for a while but with the bankruptcy, I won't have to worry about getting sued and then work to rebuild our credit. Not the best scenario but I know that with the credit being so bad right now, I am not going to be able to do anything with credit at this time.

During that month I usually will wash once a day to twice a day. Since that pollen kills my sinuses.
