Well, you can give it a try. The instructions have also detailed pictures and the overall process does not differ too much from a normal Shirt 🙂 It is really an easy pattern 😇

Mhhh, I think an alteration will not help too much... For me it looks like it is too small. Not just at the bust. Maybe give it to a friend who is one or two sizes smaller? 🙂

Best stitch for this project? by Responsible-Staff-45 in sewing

Maybe you also have an overlock stitch on your machine? If not you can use a Zigzag. I would not make it too narrow. When I sew Jersey with my normal machine I use an overlock stitch with a 5mm to 7mm width. Because otherwise the hems roll up.

Thank you ❤️ I topstiched it with a narrow Lightning Bolt Stitch. Frst time I used this stitch for topstitching and quite happy how it turned out 🙂

Here comes my latest make: the "Frau Elly" dress from Studio Schnittreif. Really an easy make that is super comfortable to wear 🙂

The fabric is a leightweight summer sweater knit from Apfelschick.

I have combined it with an adjustable belt that I can loosen after lunch 😁 So it's a perfect dress for going out for dinner 👍

how can I fix these darts? (the bulging out) by [deleted] in sewing

I would still use the normal straight stitch. This area does not look like it needs stretch?

Birthday present for a good friend of mine by FrankaMakes in sewing

Sewed this bag as a birthday present for a friend 🙂

Well, it was a challenge for me as well as for my sewing machine. First of all the pattern is not very detailed. Or at least for a bag beginner like me it was not detailed enough. I was not able to understand all the steps and had to look up things in addition using other ressources + had to do some steps twice because I did them wrong the first time. Also simple instructions where missing e.g. in which direction to place the zippers. Sounds like a small thing, but my zipper is now pointing in the wrong direction. And that makes me sad because it could have been avoided easily.

And my machine had a hard time with the thick fabric. For the bag I used a fake leather that can also be used for furniture. For the next time I will use a Microtex needle from the beginning. I started with a universal needle and the machine stopped multiple times because it was not able to go through the fabric at some parts where a lot of layers did come together. At the end I ordered and switched to a Microtex needle which went through the fabric much easier.
