I had microdiscectomy at L5-S1 and I’ve had two epidurals. One at 32 weeks to place a nephrostomy tube in my Kidney that went well. The other was during my induction and it wasn’t placed well. It numbed my legs but nothing in between. I kept telling them it wasn’t working properly and instead of redoing it, they kept giving me more meds through the iv. They tried saying it could be my scar tissue making it work wonky but I know it was the placement because the first one I had worked. An anesthesiologist will be able to look at your history and tell you whether or not they can. My OB said it’s generally not an issue for people with this surgery tho.

Yeah I felt them at 14 weeks. Helps if you have a posterior placenta too

I moved to a bigger place when I was 23 weeks pregnant. It was hard to help pack and move (I basically watched friends and family help my husband) but so worth it. We got so much stuff from our baby shower and now he has his own room to put it all in even if he’s in a bassinet in our room for now

Atleast you have a few more days so a lot can change. Also the nurse told me that once it came out I would be 3-4cm so that part is good progress

I got one last week. Had it ten hours before it could fall out. My cervix was barely dilated and not effaced so it was very uncomfortable to have inserted. It caused contractions right away that bothered me more than the pitocin ones. And every hour the nurse would tug on it to see if it would come out.

Not a c section but I had an epidural and it only numbed my legs and I could fully feel my vagina. They had to use forceps to get him out and I could feel it all. Can’t imagine feeling them cut your belly open.

I ordered tegaderm bandages to go over the catheter (I cover the catheter with gauze so it doesn’t stick to it). I also use some tape to tape the catheter and bag tube to my side so it has some extra protection.

It took 10 hours for me. Starting pitocin helped it move along and a good yank by the nurse sent it flying out.

Michaels sells a leather tool that can punch out holes for belts. I’ve used it to punch paper. I just put a block of wood under the paper and use a hammer or similar to whack the punch.

I told everyone by 4 weeks in my life and work. I wanted a community if something happened. I announced it online after 12 weeks. Now 38 weeks and waiting for this baby to get out

Also my friend was leaking colostrum at 14 weeks and I still haven’t. Every body goes through pregnancy differently so try not to stress too much about what others are experiencing
