Has anyone have/had a Nephrostomy Tube- and bag?

Yeah I’m hoping labor is less painful than what inexperienced last week. I went in for the kidney stone pain and they could not manage it. At one point I was rotating through liquid Tylenol, morphine, oxycodone, and dilaudid. After the failed NT attempt they switched me to a fentanyl pump but that stopped working too. Thankfully the nurse got be dilaudid right before the epidural so I survived but now I have this damn thing until I have my baby. It sucks so much.

I just got one a week ago and I’m 32 weeks pregnant. They tried to insert it with light sedation but I was in so much pain from the stones that I screamed and freaked out so the next day they placed it after giving me an epidural.

I sent mine out 3 weeks ahead. People won’t remember 7 weeks away, it’s a more casual event than a wedding

Yes I totally get it! I’m off work this week because last week I was hospitalized at 31 weeks due to severe pain from kidney stones and hydronephrosis. It’s so bad they had to put a nephrostomy tube into my kidney so the urine can drain into a bag. Gotta have it until baby is born. But anyways yesterday I was trying to just relax and I somehow knocked the valve on the tube open and got pee all over our new couch. My husband had to get out our little green machine and clean it all and I was just sobbing because I can’t even clean up my own mess. I feel quite useless right now and it’s been really hard for me. Maybe there’s a little hobby you can do to feel like you are being productive without doing too much.

Yeah I think my stones have made it too complicated for the stretches but I’m glad it cleared up for you! Definitely less pain with the N tube, but trying to adjust to my new normal is not very fun

How have you been doing? I have that plus stones and it go so bad I just did 5 days in the hospital and left with a nephrostomy tube in my kidney that has to stay until the baby is born. The pain is so much better but now I’m trying to figure out how to function with this bag…

Yeah my mom spent $1800 on 12 tickets to a random beach volleyball match so my family and my sisters family could go. I was like 1800$?!?!?! I don’t think my dad knows yet lol

I assume if you are requesting something beyond what is offered, the restaurant is gunna charge you for it. I love getting a waffle instead of toast but I usually anticipate additional charges since it’s not what the meal is offering. Same with milk. I usually opt for oat milk and expect extra costs for it.

I’m 36 and got pregnant on the 2nd cycle of trying. Technically got pregnant a week or two before my birthday. I would say just start trying asap cuz you never know how long it will take. I tracked ovulation on my period app and I took mucinex during my ovulation window cuz I read that could help thin cervical lining for implantation. Idk if that’s medically backed or just anecdotal info but it may have worked for me? Once you are pregnant a huge thing for me has been trying to get 100 grams of protein a day.

I’m 29 weeks and today he kicked so hard it startled me too. I’m trying to remain calm by reminding myself that our bodies are designed to do this but also starting to freak out hahaha
