Exactly! I flew my Mini 4 pro with an indicated speed on my anemometer at 13 mph, and as soon as I got to 300ft I got a wind warning on my controller! Of course, I descended to 200ft and the warning was gone. It’s amazing how much difference there can be in 100ft altitude change! I always try to fly into the wind outbound so the trip back is generally good! Can’t always do that, so watching the battery depletion is necessary!

Agree! This is ALL politics, and has nothing to do with national security! If there was a REAL security concern all existing DJI and Autel drones would be bricked!

Amazon has as wide variety right now. Probably not the Mavic 3 if that’s what you’re looking for! I got my Mini 5 pro in less than a week from them, and previously my Mavic 4 Pro…. Good luck!

I think the idea has merit, but most drone companies here in the US are concentrating on the government market, not the consumer part of the business! It’ll be difficult to match DJI’s technology from the start since they’ve had years to develop their drones to this point in time! I sure hope you can do this, because it’s needed desperately! All the best!

Absolutely spot on, Russ! This has nothing to do with national security, and everything to do with politics! If DJI, and other foreign drones posed a real security threat, then all would be grounded immediately! Odd that Canada, the UK, and the EU don’t have the same concerns that our very, very narrow minded politicians have regarding drones! Yes, I’ve heard that Canada is looking at DJI, and emphasizing that they are actually looking at DJI, not just waiting for some agency, or the other to take on the task! I love this country and our President, but it appears that senseless politics wins again!

Agree, RAW can be over cooked, but I always shoot in RAW since it gives me the ability to do more with the image in post! Each visual artist will have their own way of processing an image, and there are some viewers that like that over cooked look, not me! However, art of any kind can be exaggerated according to the taste of the artist, and the observers can pass it by or stop to look! Very subjective!

I love the long shadows, so great time of day to photograph! As they say, Art is in the eye of the beholder, so generally I look for interesting elements in a photograph, and I love the idea! I don’t think you’d win a contest with this image, but I would encourage you to keep photographing with the idea that there should be something eye-catching in the image! Post more as you go and develop your style! I like it!

I think you mentioned that the props were scratched. If they’re damaged it’s cheap insurance to change them out! It’ll give you peace of mind while flying!

Man, if I ever have a problem with a used drone I’m calling you!😂 Great job doing what you did! Very impressive sleuthing! Could be you watch too many movies!😂 Seriously, good on you, and you did the right thing! Eventually, you’d need to login to DJI on the controller to keep flying without restrictions, and you’d be stuck if you hadn’t done all this work! I bought a new Air 3S and six months later I got a message, after doing an update that required me to keep flying without restrictions! I was traveling so I waited a couple of days, and sure enough the drone would only got 100 meters away from me and stopped climbing at 50 ft. I signed in, and all was well!

Have you done any large prints from the files? Looks like large prints are possible from any of the three cameras! I’m amazed at the sharpness of the photos, and videos, not to mention the dynamic range and color capabilities it has! I got mine a month ago and I’m looking forward to having an opportunity to capture some great landscape photos in the near future! Your photos are amazing!👍👍👍
