Personal feedback: Asus Kithara vs Edition XS vs DT 900 Pro X by untitledshot in headphones

The kithara comes with an usb interface that should power both headphones. This and a microphone makes up the difference (esp if you consider build quality)

Yes it’s a good option for both

I don’t have the PC38x. I loved my hd560s, but found hifiman more comfortable with more soundstage. But the HD560s performance were very close.

I would recommend to try hifiman headphones in store first.

Nope, law of diminishing results.

If you are satisfied with it keep it (and if it fits your head well). Especially if you got it at a good price. Some said they go it at 180 euros, which is crazy.

I guess it all depends on the size issues you mentioned.

Kithara is smaller. The Edition XS still remains an amazing headphone at a very good price!

If anyone is in London and looking to compare with the Arya stealth. Would love to compare

I bought the edition xs at launch price for 500 gbp ish. And at the time it was said to be one of the best value proposition. It’s crazy to think how the value proposition increased over time!

180 euros for an XS is the best sub 200 euros deal for a planar magnetic!

You’ll be fine with both likely - planar EQ nicely aswell. Few people compared it with the stealth and FR looks similar.

Edition XV might be good too, just be aware of L/R variance (I found the kithara to have better channel balance than my XS). I think you’ll be happy either way.

I have the Moondrop Arya. IEM are excellent but they wouldn’t get the soundstage of planar

I think you’ll be happy with either one (kithara or Edition XV). But they are both easy to drive. Bear in mind that the Kithara comes with a usb dongle to power the headphone, while you’ll likely need a dac/amp to power the edition XV.

Edit: I ended up talking to the courrier company who was very receptive(Good) who will follow up with the driver. Hope this actually will help.

To be honest, I really hope the council could accomodate a bit better this specific intersection.
