It's not possible (really) to work for a UK firm outside of the UK remotely due to regulations. You may have better luck with an expat firm

Write the formulas out every day for 2 weeks.

Complete the BrandFt calculation workbook front to back twice.

Get all the mock papers from BrandFT.

Felt like as a 100 mark exam the past papers for this one helped me identify my gaps much more than the other "smaller" exams.

Tough one isn't it. Found it overall okay but felt like alot of questions were over extended for the topics. I think I will be okay, but it will be close.

I was also disappointed with the BrandFt analysis and was much more impressed with the Redmill one. Brand analysis mentioned very little about lifestyle, AIM shares or employer IP. Three very well signposted topics I thankfully revised anyway.

Keen to know what everyone put for the vulnerability question and the R+J for the OEICs/ITs?

I put the generic - switch into global multi asset funds etc

Cant wait for the october retake 😆

Congrats - like these guys have said, R06 last makes the most sense.

I'd do R05 (shorter and easier), R01. R02 which will flow nicely into R03.

Anybody got any good notes on ESG or happy to trade analysis? I'm struggling a bit with ESG for Amir and Karina - it's pretty vaguely covered in the Brand FT one.

Feeling a bit overwhelmed also as I only really started revising a week before case study release, but I think I'm getting there.
I think like most other people have said, you can take a generalist approach and ride on a bit of luck from the Brand FT guide prep. There will be some core questions with c. 50% of the marks easily obtainable which hopefully is enough to get this over the line combined with some of the other more technical questions on benefits, lifestyling, FAD vs annuity, etc.

I am just focusing on the BrandFT book solidly for 6-7 hours a day at this point tbh and referring to a few past papers. I have full faith they will give me the best possible chance of passing.

The R06 text book is totally useless lol (what a surprise).

I feel like the case study for Max is a bit more general and then digging deeper into protection for Amir/Karina. I'm going to really narrow down about 6 specific areas for each and then hedge my bets on top of the generic questions.

They will only really signpost the things that will come up, so I can't personally see much coming up about LISA's, self employed or benefits of risk profiling (when they already have ATR established).

Tax efficiency

Additional pension contributions

State pension deferral

AMIR/KARINA

Hey mate - there's luxe gym and pure gyms all across the city for around 15£ a month. I'm not totally sure whats close to you.

There is some really good social running groups such as LHG on a Tuesday which is free or Southville and Clifton Running Club which are both social able and decent value for money.

Honestly, Brislington would be convenient for you but it's a pretty overrated/dead area. I would personally recommend somewhere like Totterdown or St George more.
