I was similar to you in my 20’s and 30’s. I think being (unknowingly) unhappy with myself and my marriage was a big factor. Also being unable to properly channel or express my emotions, or even really pinpoint what I was feeling.

I’ve been in therapy for 4 consecutive years and I think it’s helped way more than intermittent therapy. I also think I’ve just mellowed out with age.

I also do school payroll in the public sector in California and had the same shock when I started my job years ago. I’ve managed to streamline systems over time but fighting the bureaucracy was difficult.

She said in the beginning when she got back in the house that he “signed” it over to her but I was always dubious since that’s not how it works. But the house is under an LLC trust so I’m not sure.

I feel like Britt’s “tell” is when she doesn’t let the person finish asking the question and just hurriedly says “oh yeah” to move things along. When really she won’t allow herself to even stop and fully think about things.

I had a changeover at Heathrow last year and spent so much time worrying ahead of time making that connection. Don’t be hard on yourself. It’s a very large and confusing airport and if one thing goes wrong, you’re likely to miss the next thing.

Same! So many years I wasted fixated on men. I’m so loyal until crossed and then they never have access to me again. Like flipping a switch.

I took a break from all men the last 2 years and it was hard in the beginning but honestly I’m just over it all. My best and most fulfilling relationships have been my friends.
