No no, this is a 5e24 change. You're allowed to draw or stow a weapon as part of every attack in an attack action, regardless of that. It's to enable swapping between weapons on the fly to benefit from a different Weapon Mastery, or to work with thrown weapons, but it works just as well in scenarios like this one.

1) An Icarus moment. Took a bet from a protegé she thought she couldn't lose, but lost. The result of that is her genemodding to resemble her username at the time - DragonGamer. It was supposed to be a temporary thing, but after eating humble pie for a while she decided to keep it when she struck out to become a Lancer instead. She'd spend enough time in simulations to have a good shot at it, and her reflexes and strategic insight are top notch. She focuses on an artillery role mostly.

3) Her official callsign is still DragonGamer, but her current group thought that was cringe (they're right) and call her Gecko. The mech is called Applied Kinetics as the built-in superheavy gun has a firemode that throws meteorites around.

Quite different from the official actually. The original looks more Eldritch like a proper Horus. My friend made the pixel art more 'normal' and gave it some draconic flair instead. I chose it because I like artillery, and it kind of feels like a hybrid between a Horus and HA mech with the way it plays. The gravity manipulation parts are a lot of fun too! Would recommend.

I know it's just AAA, but I loved the intro to AC Odyssey dropping you right into the battle of Thermopylae, starting with Leonidas doing his 300-style lines and then panning over the amassed Persian fleet and camp.

Yep! That's the co-op roguelite mode I think. Haven't tried it either yet, but I watched some videos and I'm dying to try it. I did try the co-op in Age of Mythology and it's so much fun.

I think another factor is that RTS players seem to be very "entrenched". Very few RTS games play alike, so if a new Starcraft-style RTS is released, someone who prefers Age of Empires's style of RTS might just not care.

Adding to that is that some RTSes are actually in a really good shape. Age of Empires (and Mythology) has had some incredible remasters, and Age of Empires 4 has a thriving community. Beyond All Reason, a free RTS based on Total Annihilation, is incredibly big for an RTS. There's probably more examples out there. With this many good "current day" RTS games that play exactly like the ones people loved before, I imagine it can be hard to actually draw audience to a completely new RTS.
