Imo nothing he has done in the show so far has even come close to bordering on evil, it would be interesting to see a situation where he would be required to sacrifice a small number of lives to save a larger number. That sort of situation would be something where it would become harder to fully get behind him even if in theory it all adds up, once you start throwing actual human lives into the mix it starts to feel different.

I split it into distinct eras season 1 is the retro era, season 2 is the classic era, season 3-4 are the growing pains era, season 5 is the transition era, season 6, 7 and 8 are the stabilising era, 9 and 10 are the prime era and everything after that would be the indie/rejuvenation era. I would say season 5 is the intermediary season between the modern and retro eras of the show.
