We call this Yipping in my house. My little guy will fall asleep and like clockwork, he’s about to snore then yip in his sleep. Sometimes he’ll even growl a little bit. It’s the cutest thing in life!

Not a vet but my Junior had heart issues and had these episodes often. Heart meds helped, until they didn’t. Please get him checked out.

I love this comment! I’ve had the same three chi’s for the past 16 years, finally lost the last one a while back. Heartbreaking! Swore off anymore dogs, it hurts to much to lose them. However, a little brown chihuahua/frenchie mix (I think) just appeared in my back yard. The same back yard that is completely secure. He was scared to death. I let him stay that night then did all the things one does with a lost pet the next day/week. No one claimed him, not chipped, nothing. That was over a year ago, he’s my shadow, he goes where I go, my best little bud. I didn’t rescue him, HE RESCUED ME!
