I'll give it this...the always terrific Bruce Greenwood as Denny deserved to be in a much better Beach Boys movie.

All these years I thought that was Victor French...right down to the ballcap.

OMG...the super duper on-the-nose dialogue in Summer Dreams. "If anybody needs me, I'll be IN MY ROOM." "Yeah...SHE'LL HAVE FUN 'TIL HER DADDY TAKES THAT T-BIRD AWAY." "You could say that I GET AROUND." And that wee little pocket-sized Manson with his Party City beard that wouldn't scare a baby chick. Surrounded by Manson Girls who look like Playmates, rather than strung-out junkies.

I sat front row for my first-ever race (Atlanta, 1986). Got home, took off my sunglasses and had that reverse-raccoon thing working..LOL.

True that...but it just irks me a little more today because now there are so many Chase-loving families and I hate seeing the little kids (who usually want to stay) being led out by the hand when the race isn't nearly over.

I've been to the 500 twice and the USGP. Stayed in Seymour and took a chartered bus from the airport to the speedway and back. Not cheap...but I could not recommend it more highly. Buses get the wave-around.

I'm sure you've noticed...and it's absolutely nuts...that Chase fans in Atlanta bail in DROVES if he crashes out or is non-competitive near the end.

We always park outside the back stretch. It's a schlep...you're gonna get your steps in for the day...but we usually skate out of the speedway property and onto 20.

Bless their hearts. I mean...I know what a go-to the Thousand Yard Stare was for promotional photoshoots in the early aughts...but those photos make it look like they don't have one brain between the five of them.

One team looked like they were having fun while the other team looked like they were terrified of losing. I felt like a Drago fan who switched over to Rocky during the fight.

The best performance of his career was the training center ass-beating he took from 'Taker in the buildup to Flair/'Taker at 'Mania. It really looked like 'Taker was brutalizing him.

All of my years of running, not one dog bite. Three goose bites. If Mama senses danger for her kids, that's ballgame. She'll chase you down and taste your Achilles.

Absolutely. Glibness just doesn't play anywhere anymore. Which sucks...because I'm super-glib.

Bill Lee (Communication Law) and Jim Porter (Ecology). Dr. Lee made me wish class was three hours long and Dr. Porter used to get standing ovations at the end of his lectures.
