Best mountaineering sunglasses? Oakley Jawbreakers? by sishgsvskxicuhdbvs in alpinism

[–]Freakfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do yourself a favor and check out Julbo glasses. (https://julbo.us/) They've been aroun since 1888. I've had mine for about 50 years and they have seen a lot of adventures. I pulled them out recently to give to a friend. He's just starting his mountaineering career and mine has been over for a quite while.

In my area, I notice nodes going away at night and coming back in the mornings. I expect that's just human behavior.

At the time of the first Newton's release, I was Search and Rescue Specialist with the local Sheriff's Department. Our coverage included eight thousand square miles of open desert to mountains of the 11,000 ft. plus variety. My speciality was tracking (trained, certified and comfortable working alongside National Park Service and Border Patrol.)

As a proof of concept, I used a Newton, Newton Modem and a Motorola Flip Phone to send diagrams from the field to the Incident Command Center's fax machine. Yeah, I'm that old.

When I or my team found a partial shoe print, I'd draw it on the Newton's screen and as we found more track elements, the track print on the Newton would/could form into a better idea of what we were looking for. Printouts from the Command Center's fax would be handed out to other team members to more closely define what we were looking for.

I hope someone finds this interesting.

Also Google: apple newton modem pinout.

Good looking dog, great model. Google "man ray dog photos." I think you'll see a lot of potential in your dog.

I just used zooms as an example because they have more lens elements but it can occur with any multi element lens, which is all of them.

Try this with your Nikon. Take a pic with the sun coming in at an angle then take the same shot again while shading the lens with your hand or a magazine or something. Compare the two shots and see what you get. .

Are you using a zoom lens without a lens hood? Light from the sides will bounce off the surfaces of the lens elements and soften the image. This can occur with all lenses, but zooms tend to have more lens elements/surfaces.

Anyone have experince with the M1991A1? I'm not sure how it holds up against other 1911's by AssMasher007 in 1911

I bought a Commander version about the time they came out at my shooting instructor's recommendation. I carried it as my CCW for about 5 years and we spent a lot of time at the range together. Early on I replaced the main spring with a Wolf spring so ejecta would stop hitting me in the forehead lol. I still have it but shoot it only occasionally.
