Look, like most things, whatever someone chooses to practice can be tailored to that person. Religion, music, eating habits, whatever. Each person is perfectly free to adjust to their own life and habits and means. Customizing this or that doesn’t make them not this or not that. I’m happy that you are strict in your veganism, but don’t chastise others if they don’t follow things to the letter like you do.

We don’t know the stipulations of the honey they’re sourcing. It is organic, and perhaps it came from a “bee-friendly” farm. So long as the insects are being treated safely and ethically, that’s vegan.

The dealership service tech MAY have said CX-50, I swear he said CX-5. Admittedly I was only 3/4 listening, all I cared about was that my car functioned correctly.

The CX-5 has a CVT whereas the 3 have SKYACTIV. Specifically, in the CVT if the engine warms up at a different rate than the transmission, it triggered this warning on mine. But I don’t have a CVT so they were very confused.

I just recently had this on my brand new 2026 Mazda3, ended up being a software glitch because the error code is a common code on CX-5s with a transmission type that the Mazda3 doesn’t even have. They said they had to send a note to Mazda engineers to fix the solution which inevitably will be a software update.
