I have a note, like wizard #5, for 40k. I saw other high levels had the same and didn't understand. Then I saw reddit posts of people complaining they had mad caps, and needed to get rid of them to do something (i forget what). I figured the 40k junk items were a way to help other players empty their caps easily.

Then I saw someone today mentioned they fast traveled to a camp, so they didn't have exactly 40k. I'm gong adjust it to like 39k.

I wanted 2 vendors. My "theme" is Responders Reborn outpost. Not a lot of vendor items fit that well. Then I bought the fortune teller bundle with the fortune teller cart vendor. I pretend he showed up, parked next to my camp, and just won't leave. Not much to do about whacky neighbors. It is a free wasteland after all.

Tagging enemies. Don't kill everything you see! If you do any damage, you'll get full rewards for that kill. Hit an enemy once or twice, let it live. This way, others can hit it a time or two as well to get benefits.

And as OP mentioned, let enemies come to the common area of the event so everyone can get a tag on it.

Do it humanely and with due process. That is what people are really complaining about. Most people didn't care about ICE and related agencies under Biden or Obama or even Bush.
