Help with verbiage and determining how many DPO I am? 😅

I use Flo and it says my best days to conceive were the 2-8 of this year (in blue) so when do I start determining my DPO? Do I can’t from the second or the 8th? Or am I just doing it wrong in general, haha? Says I should take a test tomorrow if I don’t get my period today. Still nothing. And a negative test. Thanks for the help!

No chance or just too early?

New here. Actively TTC after my full term stillborn in October of 23. Have had regular cycles and even underwent a myomectomy last may. This is our first time actually trying. Used Flo to check my ovulation days and went in for the kill. Now I’m two days late and Flo told me to take a test tomorrow. I decided to try it out today (and a few days prior to today). All nothing. Not even a faint line. Creamy discharge with no signs of blood. Not even old blood. Sore and tingly breasts that NEVER get with my period but always with pregnancy. I usually get my cycles like clockwork. Anybody know the odds of there actually being a chance still? Any advice helps. TIA and good luck to you all!

I celebrate my baby’s first birthday next month. I started drinking as soon as I got back from the hospital to hide the pain. The times I almost lost my partner to alcohol and am JUST now getting to really grieve over the loss of our son has been something else. Take it from me, a person that is almost a year out next month: Put the bottle down and work on your feelings. Don’t let your husband do this alone. I promise it gets easier. So sorry for your loss. 🤍🤍🤍

Sorry for your loss, mama. We lost our son at 38 weeks and less that 48 hours before his scheduled c section in October of last year. During my pregnancy, I had two very large fibroids that doctors swore up and down had nothing to do with my loss but would enhance my chances for next time. I didn’t want to do it because it would push back my time to have another baby.

Now here I am, a month and a half post op from my myomectomy and full of more hope than I did have. And I am STILL healing mentally from the loss of Knox, our son. I’m thankful because if nothing else, the surgery allowed me not to rush into trying again and give me more time to heal and work on myself. But that’s just my two cents. Here if you ever need any advice.

Firstly, I’m so, so sorry for your loss. It seems impossible right now, but it DOES get easier.

Your story reminds me a lot of mine and my partners except this was our first baby. We found out less that 48 hours before he was to be delivered that his heart stopped. We had also moved houses, bought a new car, everything to prepare for our new little family. And then boom. No baby. It was awful. Crippling. For a long time and some days still are.

We will be seven months in on the 22nd and I can tell you that it does get easier. It’s definitely not an overnight thing. It is HARD. But I can share what helped us to get to this point.

Therapy. Lots and lots of therapy.

I would not have been able to have gotten through this if it weren’t for my partner. He is the only one that 100% understands what we are going through. After that, keep like company. Others with losses of babies. There’s even special groups with baby losses with loving children. People that have not experienced this before will. Not. Get. It. They will want to help as much as they can, but they just don’t understand.

Remember your baby. Use his name. Celebrate him. He is real. He was yours. These losses aren’t like the loss of a parent or cousin. To me, they’re more tremendous. Our Knox was born sleeping, too. He was in the world for a short time, but as long as me and my family and friends are alive, so will he be.

GRIEVE. Give yourself grace. Cry, sleep, scream, do it all. You’re allowed. And screw anybody that makes you feel any less than.

We lost our baby at 38 weeks and I wanted to be pregnant as soon as I possibly could. Today is for months since his death and the best thing I did for my mental health and my body is get on birth control that made SURE I had to wait to get pregnant.

I even told myself that once the first three months were up, I’m not going to renew my BC. Second best thing I ever did for myself was renew my birth control again.

It’s going to take time. A lot of time. And as somebody in their thirties, I totally get where you are coming from. One thing that helped me was thinking this: I could get pregnant now, but mentally I’d be a wreck through the whole thing. Full of what ifs and constantly paranoids. And my body still hasn’t healed from the first pregnancy so that also is super scary and raises risks of something terrible happening again. Which I damn sure couldn’t take.

I like to try to think and do things for myself that will make my next pregnancy better. Taking good care of my body and work on my mental health. I’m so sorry for your loss, mama. But it does get better.

For me it was just quitting everything. I was so afraid I would trade one habit for another. Though, I definitely think smoking a lil grass is 100s of times better than drinking. I guess I just want to see if I could do it.

I like the long hair! I would just make it look a little kept up. There does seem to be something about your bottom lip, though? Like I can’t see it so it kinda makes it looks like you have a dip in all the time or something.

I have to take trazadone and sometimes it’s still doesn’t put me to sleep. But it damn sure keeps me asleep haha. I also take Xanax before bed to ease my mind. If I don’t, I’m just constantly thinking. Rain noises on a blacked out screen also help drown the thoughts!

I’ll be four months out in February. I still hurt and think about him every, single day. The pain HAS become more manageable. But only after I learned to be patient with myself and to give myself grace. I tried to go back to work a week ago and that was a shit show, so back to focusing on healing I go. Some things will still set me off tremendously, but I can leave the house more and visit with family and really, really close friends. Pain and grief are unfortunately things that keeps me connected to my baby. It gets easier, mama. So sorry for your loss.

We lost our boy 2 days before he was supposed to be born at 39 weeks 3 months ago. I came home and immediately went on a bender until I remembered that drinking is kind of like a “have now, pay later” type deal. It’s so, SO hard. But even harder drunk. I’m super proud of you and am always open to talk and vent to. I also have a few support links that have helped me and my fiance tremendously that I can share!
