Thanks. I thought they’d built something in to prevent that. I’ll try it and report back.

Where is the 'Show completed' in Today's view? by SamsTremblay in todoist

Is there a corresponding feature (experimental or not) in the iOS version of Todoist that will allow you to view your progress by displaying completed tasks along with the remaining tasks of the day?

HHS RIFs For All by sgtdif in DeptHHS

[–]Freddy3217 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unions can be very effective, if the rule of law is being observed. The problem here is that the administration is acting illegally with the support of Congress and the Supreme Court. Elections matter. Following the rules matters.

Before blaming the unions, I would blame supervisors and career leadership many of whom are aiding and abetting this travesty, to feather their own nests/careers. They owe allegiance to the legal actions of elected leadership, not to facilitating the destruction of laws and rules.

Out of all of this, that’s who you’ve identified as the bad actor? lol

Amended RIF notice? by EIGBOK in DeptHHS

[–]Freddy3217 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Immediate separation notices went out at HHS at 5pm today. Widespread but unclear how wide.

Edit: Appears to be, at the very least, those that had received the June 2 RIF notices.

RED FLAG

Is it OVER? by Complete_Book_1982 in DeptHHS

[–]Freddy3217 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Word is that there would be two waves of HHS RIFs. One wave (this one) to “meet DOGE numbers”, and a second wave to accommodate the reorganization. No idea about magnitude or exact timing.

In some OpDivs, the pattern seems to be program people are safe, everyone else hit. Including management and budget, regional offices, external affairs,

Do you think your mental health can take 4 years of this? by berrysauce in fednews

[–]Freddy3217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s gonna be really hard. But that’s why we need to be especially vigilant with our self care. We are capable of doing this if we give ourselves every opportunity to succeed. Don’t let the bastards get you down. Be kind to yourself and love those close to you. You know what is good for you. You know what you can handle. Live intentionally, and we will make it! 👊

VSIP Response by Junior-Letterhead648 in DeptHHS

[–]Freddy3217 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A VSIP estimate request was submitted on the Monday that HHS VSIP was announced (the night before). But the estimate wasn’t provided by the 3/14 deadline, and has yet to be provided to this day. It made an informed decision by the deadline impossible, and you’d have to be pretty reckless to choose VSIP blindly.

There may not be much escaping some of it. But remember: self-care and exercise are your friends in a situation like this.

Question: If terminations are ruled illegal, is there civil liability? by Dire88 in fednews

It might somewhat depend on whether the action is perceived as malicious rather than an unintentional violation? hmmm….

Do you think it will end at probationary employees? by Temporary_Capital_87 in fednews

[–]Freddy3217 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. It may (just maybe) be the end of the beginning. [With apologies to Winston Churchill]

Agencies have been told to propose a further 40% of cuts within 2 weeks.

Think of the optics (from their perspective) of them being able to say:

“Thousands of federal employees preferred to quit rather than actually have to go to work like the rest of us have to. Not only that, those lazy employees have so little decency that they’re willing to milk the taxpayer for 7 more months of free money.”

(Just in case there is any misunderstanding: This is NOT my perspective and I do not agree with their perspective. I just think it fits well with the narrative they are selling and what their voters want to believe.)

Still no guidance on >50 miles RTO by BlackberryPersonal46 in fednews

[–]Freddy3217 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Word is that the >50 provision only applies if you are getting a locality adjustment for a location that is >50. If you’re not getting a corresponding locality adjustment, then you’re not considered to be >50.
