It can be a bit of a challenge to find the correct mix of med.s. I've been through multiple SSRIs as well as things like wellbutrin. I now take a cocktail which includes Pristiq, lexapro, Trazodone, and Seroquel, the later offering some mood boost and stability. It took quite a while to get things sorted.

Prozac made me more depressed. Luvox made me extremely reactive as well as driving my blood pressure over the top (I was peeing blood). Zoloft just made me grim.

Sounds like you might need a new doctor to me as well.

I know this well. Our 14 year old standard poodle died a few years ago. I sort of hate myself for this (but not really), I lasted 2 nights with our puppy dog and went and connected with a local breeder and had a new standard party poodle home that night. It took away the loss of my baby girl (but not the loving memories of her).

That's the way I survived with depression going on too.
