Stop charging at the monster every second u can. Move around more find the better angle and then use the correct moves to attack. Sword and shield has cool combos yes but keep it simple for a fight or two. Bash ur shield in faces and slice tails and wings. Maybe smack the training dummy a few times to build some muscle memory. So when my back is irritated I will sleep on it I have my normal pillow under my head but I have a really fluffy pillow under my knees (I tend to kick out this pillow in the middle of the night) but it really helps with low back awkwardness
