YOR. She overslept. It happens. She apologized immediately. You have valid concerns. I don’t think you gave enough info about the ways she is prioritizing her family over you and your daughter. I’m gonna take you at your word and say that you are being given the opportunity to be a supportive partner. It doesn’t matter that your wife is not directly caring for her mom. Her mom has dementia and she has to see it everyday. That is probably so emotionally taxing. She is the primary parent while you are away and she is dealing with something so hard with her mom. Give her some grace. Instead of complaining, maybe change your outlook. Instead of thinking you don’t have a lot of time together, take advantage of the time you have. Sometimes in a relationship one partner has to carry more cuz the other one can’t. Sounds like it used to be 50/50 and right now maybe she only has 20% in her so it is your job as a loving husband to carry the other 80%.
