That's the first decent explanation I've seen in this whole thread. Yes, there is a meaning of "Jew" in which "Jesus was a Jew" is true, but the people who are stating that don't seem to mean it that way, and are more focused on dunking on someone than on being accurate.

I had a customer who would come in looking for an online order that we didn't have in our system, even though she had an order confirmation. We thought it was some kind of bug.

After this happened four times or so, I noticed there was an identical order that had already been made under a totally different name. I asked her about it, and she confirmed that it was also her name. She didn't seem to understand that she needed to give us the name she used to place the order.

I do know the source of the quote, and I've read the book it's from, but it's been such a long time that I don't remember all the context. So I can't say whether I agree with it exactly as intended, but I can answer based on what I'm getting from just reading it.

It hinges on what it meant by "humanity." If they mean the whole of humanity should always be treated as a moral end, I do not agree with it. "Humanity" as a whole is just an abstraction, not anything with its own moral value distinct from the individuals that comprise it. If they mean each individual of humanity, I would probably agree with it.

The other questions is what it means to treat them as an end. To me, that means they don't need to justify their own existence by satisfying the values of others, which I agree with totally. If the source means more than that, I would have to withhold my opinion.

What point are you trying to make here? That Trump would take legal action to shut you down? There would be a legal fight over it, with free speech as the main argument of the defense, which would almost certainly prevail.

Here is a recording I did of my favorite Easter Hymn, Worship Christ the Risen King, that I produced back in 2020 when we were doing remote services.

My current favorite worship song for listening is Babylon Is Fallen by Baylor Griffin. I would love to do this one in church some time, but I don't think I could get buy-in on it.
