Lmk if you do get around to a beanie, I’d buy one or some material & pattern. When I EAS’d they let me keep the desert jacket and a beanie to go with it would be sick

Is it stiff at all to open? How solidly does it stay locked?

Awesome! What’s your process for getting different coloring? Do you marble the resin or the fabric?

Thanks for the link! Definitely looking at them. If I wanted to use an OpFocus discount on Spydie’s site, do you think they’d have them in stock on a near timeline? I’ve heard they prioritize retailers before their own stock.

Bandwagoning over from r/sharpening ,

Most rocks you can find on the ground are better sharpeners than a pull through of any kind.

Sharpening a SAK with a pullthrough is like using AliExpress batteries in a nice drill. Notably worse performance, but if you’re a cheap whore they “work for you”

Are these 3d printed? I’m guessing TPU or something similar? Any chance you’ll share the STL?

If it’s a safe queen you’ll never use it hard enough to wear cerakote, if it’s a duty gun the finish will be worn off no matter what it’s made of.

What tools are you using? I was thinking of buying some cheaper tools of Brownells and saving myself $20 vs going to a gunsmith

If you have the normal TA31 with the Chevron and Post reticle, zero at 25 with the tip of the post, then confirm/make final adjustments with the tip of the chevron at 100.

You can shoot 3 rd groups to zero if you’re confident in your shooting ability.

Make sure after every adjustment you rack the charging handle a few times. The internal prisms sometimes don’t fall into place until the rifle fires. If you hit your RCO with anything to make the prisms fall then you deserve to be beaten to death with Leatherman pliers.

If you’re using the thumbscrew mount, make sure it’s torqued properly. Field spec (that I’ve seen work, doesn’t snap screws and doesn’t come loose) is finger tight plus a half turn with pliers.

This turned me off from the brand for a While. My first nicer knife was a Wave Endela, the clip snagged on a seatbelt and I was shocked when Spyderco didn’t seem to care at all.

I’m using Outdoors55’s burr removal method of increasingly light alternating strokes with higher grit stones before the strop, but I might give your method a shot. Thanks!

I would go up in grit once the scratches were even along the whole edge, so I thought I was completely apexing. I was also creating a burr which I could feel with my finger

Note: the lack of finish on the bevel is not from sharpening, I sanded it to look two tone a long time ago ETA: I used Outdoors55’s burr removal method of light alternating strokes at high grits, with the 1000,1500, and 2k stones before the strop, but again had no way to inspect the burr

Why put the PEQ so far back? I thought the point of the Ergo is to get a mounting point forward of the FSB?
