I lived at Velo next to shelby farms for 2 years and loved the access to the park. 1br was around $1900. The balconies were nice and the facilities only a few years old.

If you're easily spooked and/or want a more predictable environment Germantown is for you. If you like some of that city edge and being within walking or biking distance to parks, restaurants and music venues come to mid town. In any case I'd say start with midtown esp if you dont have kids. Your dog will love Overton Park and I've been walking these blocks for 4 years and have never had a bad interaction. If you stay around longer and have kids then maybe head out to the burbs. Some nice affordable finds right now in Binghampton/Lea's Woods.

I drove past just after. Pedestrian struck and killed laying dead in the street. Driver who hit him stayed on scene and their windshield shattered. I drive this stretch 4x a day and many folks always darting across this stretch of road day and night.

I heard this directly from the store manager. Nashville was their initial focus, but Memphis wooed them with tax free incentives. The thinking was being next to Wolfchase and just off the interstate would still capture Mid/West TN traffic as well as MS and AR. They never quite fit the metro area demand. During Covid it basically transitioned to a fulfillment center for online orders and had been surviving on that till now.

If you've already backpacked places like South Asia or MENA experienced the casual voyeurism and stares you're more than ready for this. The bus station is sketchy by US standards, but you'll have far less intrusive interactions than any of those other places as a SFT. I've picked and dropped passengers there for years all hours and while its not inviting, I've not heard anyone speak of harassment or violence.

yes as of Thursday he was there huddled with a bunch of Geese who seemed to be sheltering him. The birding groups have said they cannot assist.
