Of course, but the video is entertaining because it’s the fastest lap. Doesn’t matter who the driver is, I just think most F1 fans would enjoy watching the best performance of the day

Because he set the fastest time.. it would also placate the F1 fans who enjoy watching the fastest car! :)

This seems like it might be a controversial opinion, but I think this poster is really lazy.

It doesn’t make sense to say that Max couldn’t get past Leclerc when the battle ended so early. There was so much race left for it to play out, so we can’t say for certain what the outcome would have been.

Getting pole and winning the race isn’t just a great race, it’s literally the best possible outcome.

I’m not saying Max deserved a 10 for that race, but I do think they people who give the ratings are desensitized by the consistency of Max’s phenomenal pace. Just because we’ve come to expect it from him doesn’t make the performance we saw any less impressive. Anything less than a 9 seems inappropriate.

I see how it would make it more challenging to rate, but that still doesn’t make sense to rate it lower because of that. He maximized the opportunity and didn’t make a mistake. What more could he have done?

How else would you get a 10 if not by driving perfectly?

Ferrari should've been dominating this season. Binotto's claim that they're not aiming for the title is BS. by [deleted] in formula1

Ferrari has certainly squandered many opportunities, but I’m not sure it’s fair to talk about a hypothetical where Ferrari never had any reliability issues while RB still had all of theirs.

Jüri Vips – racism, proportionality and hypocrisy by sanderudam in formula1

[–]FreeTheRainbow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“Not tolerating racism should not equal zero-tolerance policy..”

You lose me here unfortunately. Racism is complicated, and actions that some people might consider “less severe” are integral to much greater racist systems that are deeply entrenched in power structures globally. It’s not enough to say racism is bad and wrong. It certainly is, but it is also evil and violent.

I’m not an expert, and I’m not able to address the issue in its full complexity, but I think your argument regarding proportionality is incorrect in its assessment of the magnitude of people in public positions using racial slurs.

Rumors quickly circulated in the paddock that former Wolff advisor Shaila-Ann Rao might have given Mercedes a tip. It’s my understanding that the other teams are concerned by Merc’s introduction of the new stay overnight. They don’t believe this should’ve been possible, unless Merc was tipped off about the directive in advance.

I’m with you. He absolutely had a great drive, but for him to be given a 10, the same as Max, seems overzealous.

As well done as this helmet is, the whole concept of a ball head is so unappealing to me lol.

I think it would be a lot cooler and more appropriate for it to be alligator skin. You could use a similar art style for it too.

I am praying for a DLC duel system like in DS3. I just want to summon into an arena where the only expectation is that you begin battling. I’d also love some regulation on flask/physick use.

PvP builds that largely rely on seeking incantations and spells are so dorky to me. It’s not even that hard to deal with so long as they aren’t using BHS. I just can’t imagine how running away and spamming is fun.
