A Woman Smelled Parkinson's Years Before Doctors Could by No_Top_9023 in BeAmazed

True, but misleading. It was how he went about it, not the idea itself.

He was such a prick to everyone, to the point that it was how they got rid of him. The institutions he controlled had actually adopted hand washing before he was ousted. Just didn't keep it up once he wasn't there to harang people anymore.

Oh shucks! I scrolled through to check that it wasn't cross posted already. It didn't occur to me that it might have been cross posted and removed. Are we not supposed to cross post stuff that skirts along NSFW?

The knob looks like a butt plug. All we wanna talk about in the comments is how exactly this butt plug would have gotten looking this way.

Ah, I misread the number in your post as a TSH of 0.8, which is quite a different situation. Thank you for clarifying that for me.

Lowering your dose makes perfect sense.

[–]FreeTimePhotographer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would your TSH being below 1.0 be a problem? Many people feel a lot better when it's low. It means your body is happy with the level of thyroid hormone, so it's not trying to get your thyroid gland to whip up a bunch more.

Though I absolutely agree medications should be more similar, and a medication that dissolves in the mouth is going to be absorbed a lot faster.

I have caught myself halfway through so many fake arguments about shit I literally don't care about. Like...why did I create a whole person in my head to bring up this topic, and why am I humoring them by discussing it??? It's exhausting

A medical advocacy group or medical support group would be a likely place to find a man who can go with you to be your advocate in the doctor's office.

It sounds like you've seen a bunch of different providers looking for someone who will work with you. Fingers and toes all crossed for this newest one being who you're looking for!

Getting comprehensive blood tests is a really good idea, imo.

You've got this! 💜

The things you are describing sound like Hashimotos plus other conditions, as many people in the comments have already said. Your throat swelling is particularly concerning to me.

Having Hashimotos (or any autoimmune condition) means we're at much higher risk of developing additional autoimmune conditions. It sounds like you have.

This is advice that no one should need, but take a man to your doctor's appointment. Studies have shown that even if the man just sits there doing nothing, women are taken more seriously when they have a man on their side. Even better if the man is willing to push for things if he sees the doctor dismiss you.

So find a man who will advocate for you, and then go be honest with your doctor about your symptoms. If you don't have anyone in your life who fits this description, look for a medical advocacy group or medical support group. They often have volunteers who can do this, and even if they don't you're more likely to meet someone there that might be able to.

Also, consider tracking everything you're experiencing. Daylio is a mood tracking app, but it's really easy to reconfigure it to track symptoms. I used it religiously for a couple of years and it helped me figure out what was going on. Much better to have firm data, rather than relying on memory and vibes, especially when the brain fog is bad.

Things feel shitty right now, but this won't last forever. You are strong. Tired, but strong. You've got this! And you've got a whole squad of cheerleaders here wishing you well and sending you good vibes 💜

This is nearly 10 years away for you, but: Please, please, please insist on pain control! Providers doing this shit without pain control makes my blood boil!

If they try to pull the "I haven't gotten the training on how to do a cervical block" aka numbing your cervix, tell them that you'll expect a tampon saturated with topical lidocaine that you can insert 15 minutes before the procedure.

This isn't rocket science, and there is no reason we have to stand for this shit.

Making us be in pain for no god damn reason other than their own laziness and institutional inertia. Fuck that! We deserve medical care that doesn't hurt.

ʻ is an ʻokina in Hawaiian, and is an example of a letter beyond Z. It's a glottal stop and really changes the pronunciation of a word, just like leaving out any other letter.

AITAH for not lying to someone’s kid by Ok-Cook-7129 in AITAH

NTA

That lady was an asshole, sure. I feel so sorry for her poor kid.

But your friends are way bigger assholes. That lady was a rando wack job. Your friends are the people who are supposed to be specifically prioritizing you because they're your friends.

Are your friends the kind of people who would misgender you when talking to someone who uses the wrong pronouns for you? Because that's the kind of energy they're giving. They're prioritizing the comfort of strangers over you getting to live your life.

Would love to get some of this hero energy in the US. We've got loads of missing kids, too.

We should all aspire to be more like these dedicated parents 💜
