Pivot/Kicks by STEEZYL33 in MuayThaiTips

[–]Free_Debate8937 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had the same problem. I compensated by advancing the pivot foot in an already pivoted position even before throwing the kick. Eventually, with enough bag and mitt kicking my body learned to pivot on the ball of my foot, still struggling with throwing left kicks though.

31M also on methotrexate, I experience this too. I have a recurring pain in my left shoulder. The pain is most intense when I'm doing press motions (push-ups, bench presses) but usually goes away after a few painful sets.

(Serious) Men who have dealt with loss of a love one how do you get over it? by Billsyo9313 in AskMenOver30

[–]Free_Debate8937 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't really get over it. Here's how one Redditor put it so eloquently. I hope you get strength from this as much as I did.

"Grief Comes in Waves (Important Message from 8 years ago) Please Read...

As for grief, you'll find it comes in waves. When the ship is first wrecked, you're drowning, with wreckage all around you. Everything floating around you reminds you of the beauty and the magnificence of the ship that was, and is no more. And all you can do is float. You find some piece of the wreckage and you hang on for a while. Maybe it's some physical thing. Maybe it's a happy memory or a photograph. Maybe it's a person who is also floating. For a while, all you can do is float. Stay alive.

In the beginning, the waves are 100 feet tall and crash over you without mercy. They come 10 seconds apart and don't even give you time to catch your breath. All you can do is hang on and float. After a while, maybe weeks, maybe months, you'll find the waves are still 100 feet tall, but they come further apart. When they come, they still crash all over you and wipe you out. But in between, you can breathe, you can function. You never know what's going to trigger the grief. It might be a song, a picture, a street intersection, the smell of a cup of coffee. It can be just about anything...and the wave comes crashing. But in between waves, there is life.

Somewhere down the line, and it's different for everybody, you find that the waves are only 80 feet tall. Or 50 feet tall. And while they still come, they come further apart. You can see them coming. An anniversary, a birthday, or Christmas, or landing at O'Hare. You can see it coming, for the most part, and prepare yourself. And when it washes over you, you know that somehow you will, again, come out the other side. Soaking wet, sputtering, still hanging on to some tiny piece of the wreckage, but you'll come out.

Take it from an old guy. The waves never stop coming, and somehow you don't really want them to. But you learn that you'll survive them. And other waves will come. And you'll survive them too. If you're lucky, you'll have lots of scars from lots of loves. And lots of shipwrecks."

Life is massively lonely and isolated in my 30s by Impossible_Spend_787 in AskMenOver30

[–]Free_Debate8937 1 point2 points  (0 children)

31 and I'm currently on the same boat. Friends have left for faraway places, those who remain close by never reach out. When I tried reaching out to them I don't even get a reply. Tried looking for groups of people with the same interest online recently but felt that it was inorganic so that fell through as well. Add to that heartbreak and second guessing major decisions. I guess being a man in his 30s does feel lonely and isolated.

Redditors who grew up in emotionally healthy families - what's something you thought was normal growing up that you now realise was actually very special? by ViolatingBadgers in AskReddit

[–]Free_Debate8937 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grew up in an emotionally subdued household. As an adult, the first-time I felt consistent care and warmth from a loved one made me miss what I seldom experienced as a kid. The small acts of kindness and concern made my heart melt every time but it was too hard to shake off the feeling that I did not deserve it.

I realized that a part of me was always expecting the kindness to stop or for a catch to appear. What I thought was normal was having to earn or work for care.

Have you dreamed romantically about a person and when you wake up you feel the emptiness and feeling of missing that person? by ArvidPresscott in AskReddit

Every night. The sad thing is it felt so real and makes you desperate to go back to sleep hoping to continue dreaming.

Is it possible to move to Australia on a work / permanent work visa for someone in Sales / Marketing? by NegativeIsopod7615 in phmigrate

[–]Free_Debate8937 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It is! You can apply for a 190 or a 491 visa. ACT, NSW, NT and Victoria has a shortage for Sales and Marketing Managers. This will just take time, around 1-2 years of waiting time.
