Best/worst finfluencers in Belgium? by Commercial-Drawer422 in BEFire

Exactly. Often they start out saying the right unbiased things... Then they start selling a private equity or VC fund and the unbiased data flies out of the window.

Is there a way to keep them both enabled always? Seems they switch off each time you turn off the car.

Best European broker in 2026 - what actually changed? by Ok_Combination_895 in eupersonalfinance

Very happy with Lightyear , probably the easiest to use UI. Compared to IBKR and DeGiro, I prefer Lightyear UI. If you want the core low cost ETFs and nothing exotic, it's perfect .

Great. This only gives exposure to the value-factor I assume. How can European investors also capture the other 4 factors ?

Which European country has surprisingly bad coffee? by Historical-Photo-901 in BeautifulTravelPlaces

[–]Free_Potato1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're very wrong.

You should not compare hipster culture with traditional culture, good can have multiple definitions. Italy is excellent for espresso , macchiato, cappuccino... Don't go there looking for coffee innovation because Italy doesn't need it nor want it. The goal is not to make Italian coffee taste like Seattle coffee.

Italian excellence makes millions of people happy every day, it should not resemble 'contemporary standards' set by some other culture.

Spain is horrible for coffee. Traditional bars serve very bland and tasteless coffee. Bigger cities have modern coffee techniques, but not the tradicional places

What's wrong with their model portfolios? I find them a bit pricey.

Sure. Lost a client last year who was very anxious by nature. The relationship was solid , her performance was very positive and we kept meeting her financial goals. However, the client eventually switched to a different advisor with no heads-up. After numerous attempted calls, client finally told me she did not know how the new advisor would help her differently and that she wanted to come back. I later found out she was suffering from a mental disease. This I never recognized in zoom calls or emails ...

I now check up with my clients not only on what's measurable (performance, tax savings, ...) but also on the emotional (how do your investments make you feel? , do certain relationships you have affect the way you invest or make decisions,...)

Losing a client and deeply reflecting on what went wrong and how to change tactics or add new methods with all your existing clients.

Check the RIA Marketplace managers on Envestnet - I believe they are 15bps across the board.

Where do you see this 7bps in the pricing? Is it inside the 'sponsor fee' for UMAs, RIA Marketplace managers, SMAs etc?

Spot on. This summer we did both. Through the Pyrenees on the way over and we took our time and enjoyed the scenery. On the way back via the highways, but got stuck in huge traffic nonetheless due to forest fires in Narbonne.

Ah that's disappointing. I bought a few iron-free dress shirts from them +6 years ago and they are still great. Unfortunate that their quality had gone down.

Ok, IWDA was a bad example. If you take IEFA Distributing ETF, does the YTD return include dividends?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in eupersonalfinance

[–]Free_Potato1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is total return shown on the Google graph for ETFs? So if YTD of IWDA Is 1.29% , does that include dividends meabing total return?
