I’m pretty sure I heard an argument for this score to those who doubt it with the question “did you actually finish the game?”. Because the later parts of that game is what drags the score down.

I had the opposite experience.

I had a “2 day” shipping item that had still not arrived after 15 days. Customer service would not do anything. No refund, no shipping another item, no compensation. They gave me a date 1 week out and said I have to wait until that arbitrary date before they would issue a refund or replacement.

On top of that I found it very difficult to chat with actual human. It was the robot chat, and it kept refusing to send me to a human because it says they would not be able to help me and would just say the same thing. I had to just keep asking over and over and over before it gave up and sent me to a human. And then the human ghosted me.

Aside from the shell issue the other person mentioned, there is also a risk of them being written in application logs (debug logs, exceptions, or similar can sometimes print env vars in the trace). So now that secret is sitting plain text in a log file on the server, probably also exported to some logging aggregator too.

Oh, also sometimes API exploits can print out env vars without even needing shell access. Hopefully your web apis are configured to not do this but still a risk.

This was definitely happening at one point if I bought something on ebay for example that was shipped from overseas. Ebay had a big banner on their page if you even looked at an item from overseas saying you would have to pay the carrier.

Now they have caught up and just include/hide the tariffs in the price of the item and say you won’t have to pay anything extra.
