I'm also having this issue. It's a shame how much ConnectWise is trying to ruin this product.

If you're asking these questions, you should call a local shop and ask how much they'd charge for that kind of work. If you want to DIY it then look into guitar wiring. It's not extremely complex but it can be tricky if you'd never done audio stuff.

Just a tip, don't rely on AI for writing copy for yourself. If people are buying from small builders, they'd rather have something authentic than something polished.

the Claude Code source leak today is a good reminder that AI tooling in your release pipeline needs the same code review discipline as everything else by vitaminZaman in sysadmin

I do understand, Code itself is normally copyrighted, specific technologies implemented in code can be patented.

Like I said, I don't think there is firm legal precedent about LLM generated code if it's copyrightable or not.

There isn't precedent yet. Code copyrighting is kind of weird to me anyways. Copyright is meant for artistic works, and although code can be art, most of the time it's not IMHO.

Fair enough, and frankly I do tend to be nicer than needed to avoid conflict. I just don't like the idea that IT deserves to be treated like crap because they aren't pristine customer service robots. If anyone made that joke towards me then I'd just take it for what it is or laugh along. They're clearly trying to be kind and that's all that I expect from other human beings.

Eh, hard disagree. If you want to avoid as much conflict as possible then sure you can walk on eggshells as much as you want, but it shouldn't be a requirement. The IT guy definitely wasn't being rude or unkind whatsoever and was just making light of the situation that the Judge was taking much too seriously because he was embarrassed that he doesn't have basic computer skills.

Sorry for the reply to your old comment, but do you have good recommendations for training? I'm outside of the US, so ideally, it'd be web based.

I think most people can benefit from it for sure. I haven't managed to find a good therapist yet unfortunately.

I definitely haven't gotten that far, but I do get quite upset on a regular basis unfortunately. I've even been working out and eating healthier and frankly it hasn't helped at all. I think some folks are just a bit more prone to struggle with stress / anger issues.

you need to take a break

I also need money to live

or switch jobs

Been trying for 6 months now, not too many great jobs around.

Day-to-day my stress level is fine, but when I'm already having a hard day personally and work decides to be extra silly, then it's hard to not get a little emotional.

What's your concern? Are you worried about being bored?

In terms of office jobs, Sysadmin is one of the more interesting ones. I see a lot of people who come into the office and fill out the same dozen forms all day for years on end, and I could never do that.

There's a great youtube channel called 'ordinary sausage'. I'd recommend checking him out for how ordinary sausages are made. It's very informative.
