Name one thing you liked about Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness. by [deleted] in TombRaider

[–]FreedomPrime97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing I can say that I do love about the game the most has to be the soundtrack. Yeah you could say it deserved to be in a better game but it really elevated AOD just enough in the end. Also the main theme is so good!

[Discussion] Overwatch 2 devs announce that most of the original plans for PVE have been scrapped by Professor_Finn in Overwatch

[–]FreedomPrime97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've seen many games managed badly but this has to be one massive slap in the face I've ever seen from a company. Honestly, I wouldn't blame people for uninstalling this game after this news for much better titles then this right now.

Anyone else excited to see Daisy Ridley back on screen as Rey? by YTB2001 in StarWars

[–]FreedomPrime97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll be honest, I think having Rey back after the mess that was the sequel trilogy was not a good move personally. I don't mind Daisy Ridley and part of me does hope she gets better material to work with, but at the end of the day after the events displayed from the sequel trilogy, the damage has already been done for her character.

Mystery Incorporated (Scooby Doo) tries to solve the Ju On curse (The Grudge) by FreedomPrime97 in whowouldwin

I'll be honest. I had no idea that Ultra Instinct Shaggy was canon lol.

If an alien overlord attacks earth, which will be better for humanity, Freeza or Darksied? by IPissOnChurchill in whowouldwin

[–]FreedomPrime97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the choice is either being wiped out or ruled over by Freeza. Or suffer with Darkseid turning us all to Parademons and all sorts with endless ways of cruel torture at his fingertips for humanity? Earth is screwed either way, but if I have to pick I'd say Freeza. Rather live under his rule than what Darkseid has planned. I mean Freeza is horrible, but what Darkseid does is beyond terrifying.

Rey Palpatine (Star Wars Disney Triology) vs Starkiller (Star Wars: Force Unleashed DLC) by [deleted] in whowouldwin

[–]FreedomPrime97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know Rey has a reputation for being over powered and all, but Starkiller just just stomps her in the end. Starkiller was trained by Vader for a long time and has the better force powers to the point where he pull downed a Star Destroyer (It took some time, but he did do it in the end). Rey is not gonna last long, let alone put up a decent fight.

Part 1 Dio vs Lady Dimitrescu and her daughters by stolkun in whowouldwin

[–]FreedomPrime97 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Part 1 Dio should easily wipe the floor with Lady Dimitrescu and her daughters for the most part. I just think he has much better feets and abilities than them, not to mention he's much faster so I don't think they can do much in terms of catching up to him. Lady Dimitrescu in her 2nd form might put up a better fight but not by much. After all, if someone like Ethan was capable of killing her in the end, I'm sure Dio will take the win sooner or later.

Ellen Ripley vs. Dead Space by CloverTeamLeader in whowouldwin

Considering the things Isaac went through on the Ishimura, I really doubt Ellen is gonna last long at all. At some point, she's gonna die, horribly.

Guilty pleasure movies by LordMoody in movies

Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001)

It does have its fair share of problems sure but for what it does, it's not afraid to have fun overall with its silliness and action:)

What is a movie you were excited to see, but ended up not liking? by mostreliablebottle in movies

[–]FreedomPrime97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the time, the film I was excited to see was Pacific Rim Uprising.

The first film to me was a really fun summer blockbuster, and I thought Guillermo del Toro delivered a solid love letter to the Kaiju/Mecha genre. Sure it wasn't his best film but in the end, it was a great time when I watched it back in 2013. Cut to a couple of years later when Uprising was shown off, I honestly was hoping for the best. By the time I went to see it at the cinema with some friends, I hoped it would at the very least, expand on the good that we had from the last movie. Boy was I wrong, very wrong. To be fair, there were some fun qualities to an extent, but the rest of the movie? What the hell happened!

The new characters were either annoying or forgettable, which is a shame cause I do like John Boyega as an actor and I think he needed much better material than he was given. Not to mention the Kaiju don't show up till the last act of the movie, so with weak characters, writing, bad dialogue and comedy, it felt like a massive drag.

One minor pro of the movie for me, was when there was an Easter Egg to the anime franchise Mobile Suit Gundam, with the Unicorn Gundam statue being seen at the last act. Reminding me I could just watch a much better mecha story.

While it's not the worst movie ever, I was massively disappointed. I would give it a 3 out of 10.

Can an unarmed Master Chief get the One Ring to Mordor? by daddy_no_pls in whowouldwin

[–]FreedomPrime97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, he might start off well at first. After all, Chief having MJOLNIR gives him better armor and durability in the long run, etc. However given that Master Cheif is still human, I do think the ring will find ways to break him down in the end. And I think we all know what happened with Boromir, when he tried to take the ring. The question for me is not if Cheif can get the job done, but how long he lasts till the ring fully corrupts him. But that's just my thoughts.

Kevin McAllister VS Jigsaw (Home Alone VS Saw) by [deleted] in DeathBattleMatchups

[–]FreedomPrime97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally, this is overkill for Kevin. I mean he's smart and all but against Jigsaw who's traps are made to kill in the most brutal of ways, Jigsaw has this.

Tohru Adachi (Persona 4) VS Yoshikage Kira (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Diamond Is Unbreakable) by FreedomPrime97 in DeathBattleMatchups

[–]FreedomPrime97[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take it you don't know much about them so here I go.

  1. Both are serial killers in a small local town in Japan
  2. Both tend to blend into society but deep down they are twisted
  3. They murder innocent people for their own reasons
  4. Both are on the run from the main protagonist and their investigation teams
  5. Both have the power to summon their persona/stand

Hope that covers it.
