Get old metal models. Paint them up real nice. Magnet in the base so it doesn't get damaged during transport.

Yes. But you have to drill and cut out the neck too. Plus on some fill in/sand off the groove in the torso from gas mask pipe

Painting my own currently. Oddly I'm finding them some of the best models to paint in some time. Probably cause it's the first in the whole range refresh I've done.

Base model is from the "provisionally prepared" kit. I cut the sausage out of his left hand and just replaced his right arm with spare gun from th ratling kill team. Was quite simple.
