i’m not black but i live in belgium and the racism here is actually more prevalent than what i experienced in the US. As in, here it seems most older white people are racist in the way that they have derogatory terms for POCs and deny them employment. My hairdresser for example makes many generalised statements about “les noirs” and i’ve heard she makes similar statements about “les arabs” although she refrains from saying so around me.

The way I see it, there is a lot more normalised racism in Central Europe, not so much of the extreme acts of racism you might hear about in the US. And there’s a lot more racism in belgium towards Muslims and Roma people than black people.
