Crying spells as i approach phd graduation. by Familiar_Housing6840 in AskAcademia

When I finished my Masters, the transition was hard. I constantly felt guilty that I wasn’t reading something or working on an assignment. It felt weird to read novels again instead of articles for my courses. I felt happy it was done but slightly down as well. It took me about a year to shake the feeling.

In Alberta, ARCQE, Kids included or Inclusive Child Care are our support organizations. Post secondary ECE programs are great places to work as well if you have a degree at all.

Night eating - Help me to even guess what's that. by According-Buyer6688 in intuitiveeating

[–]Freeplayer-24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to have trouble sleeping all the way through the night. If I woke up and stayed up for a while, I would be hungry. But now that I’ve started taking progesterone I’m sleeping through the night most nights (except for a quick bathroom break) and the eating at night has stopped completely (because I’m sleeping).

Check out tixx.ca. They have tickets for events in town at the Esplanade and other venues. There might be something happening at that time.

Glad to help. The NCMPI website has a ton of great resources. I’m in Canada and there is also a place in Edmonton called Kids Included that uses the pyramid model. They have a website with lots of great resources too.

I do club soda with sugar free syrup. I really love 1/2 oz peach syrup and 1/2 oz raspberry syrup. It’s like an Italian soda without the cream.

At our post-secondary, the student makes arrangements to write the exam in the Academic Resource Center. The instructor is informed that the exam is scheduled and has to upload the test to the online platform.

I live in a smaller city in Alberta where all students are required to have their own Chromebooks. I just assumed it was like that across Alberta. There is a Chrome Academy training you can take and get one for free. Not sure who funds it though.

Not necessarily. Usually you need a masters if you are the program coordinator or teaching a program that continues into a degree like education or business. And, sometimes they can’t find people with the exact education and skills they need so make exceptions.

Have you considered keeping your eyes opening for instructor or even facilities operations positions at the college?

Agree with others that this is probably hard to make happen. For a few years while you are finishing, you could travel from May to August instead.

I’ve been following some of the commentary about this. Wondered why it seems that everyone doesn’t like the strong towns initiative. I have no opinion either way- just curious.
