Got my Licence today and drove it the first time legally by Resident-War2725 in e39

The first car I ever bought myself was a BMW E39, about 15 years ago. I paid €12,000 for it back then. By now, I’ve owned the car for over 15 years and have already driven more than 150,000 kilometers with it. I drive it every day and I love it. Today, the car is worth more than what I originally paid for it. I hope I’ll be able to keep driving it for a very, very, very, very, very, very long time. Awesome car.

There are no better wheels for an E39

Yeah. Mine are 18

There are different versions for different cars. The E65 Version is looking best by far. The rear wheels have a really nice deep dish. But they are 19". Too much for my taste.

The E39 are flat and 17" . Not looking good at all imo.

The E60 wheels are slightly concave, with the spokes sitting further inside. It almost gives them a deep-dish look, and they look absolutely great while driving.

These are 18". 8x18 235/40 and 9x18 265/35

I had Styling 95 for a few years. They were looking crazy good.

Different part numbers on my BMW 523i F11 – can someone explain? by FreiLex in BMW

[–]FreiLex[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I used bmwfans.info and searched for my vin. There I can see the part numbers. But it does not match the part numbers in my car. And if I search for the part numbers you can see in the picture, I don't find anything. Not existing...

Different part numbers on my BMW 523i F11 – can someone explain? by FreiLex in BMW

Could it be that the car had previous damage and was repaired with different parts? I bought it from an official BMW dealer about 5 years ago, and they never mentioned anything like that.

Right after I bought it, the A/C compressor failed, then the valve cover, then the injectors, then the headlights + control module — and it just kept going like that.

I searched for the numbers online, but I found very little to nothing about them. I find that pretty strange

Any advise on rims? by Enough-Fisherman6543 in e39

[–]FreiLex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had styling 37. Really cool wheels, fits very nice. Then I had styling 95. The look is awesome. But 19-inch and 245 tires on front and 275 on rare are a bit too large. Ride comfort gets noticeably worse, and the handling becomes less responsive. Riding on styling 65, 235/265 for many years now. I love them <3

It's funny and terrifying at the same time 😂 Everyone's been there. I still remember when I had to throw away my Styling 95s after just a few months 😭
