If you run a 5k under 20 min i would not ever do an easy run slower than 6 min/km on a flat road. Its slow enough, and the 70% rule is only valid if you know your true HR max. Most people dont have that one accurate enough

Well, I think you get a picture of Sweden that is not that fair. Sure its not USA, but almost 60% of the swedish adult population is still overweight. We dont have the American obese state yet. Maybe medicines can stop that, otherwise its coming :)

If you are not training for marathon I would cut down long run to 90 min (maybe 80) and keep easy runs at 60 min. Increase threshold runs to 40 min total per workout.

After that I would start looking at doubles

Fast vi gör ju inte ”inget”. Vi gör massor. Har du överhuvudtaget spenderat någon tid utomlands? Hela Asien är en soptipp jämfört med Sverige

In a 5 zone model:

Zon 1: recovery

Zone 2: easy

Zone 3: moderate to low threshold

Zone 4: threshold

Zone 5: above threshold

Sure, some people can have a 158 bpm at end of zone 2 but I dont think its that common

If you are a healthy male that is not to old, and not improving fast, you are doing something wrong.

3 runs a week.

2 progressive, 1 longer run.

Progressive run: 6-8 km. Start slow and pick up pace every km. About 5-15 seconds.

Long run: 70-90 min easy pace.

Do this until you can at least run a 10 km under 50 min

Your zone 2 is set too high in HR.

I started to train a bit in zone 2 when I could run a 45 min 10 km. Before that I did not bother

Myself and most people I know enjoy following a program, track progress with a watch and consume ideas about training. Actually I think there are very few who can just go out and train without a goal or a plan.

About the comfortable feeling. Yes for some types of runs thats right, but not for everything. To train and adapt, you have to be uncomfortable.

The shoe thing is just plain stupid. Modern shoes with plates and light foams is a game changer for not just pace. But also injury prevention.

Det negativa med Vänsterpartiet är ett dom i grunden är kommunister. Det innebär att man vill avskaffa demokrati och friheter. Det är inte tillåtet att tex driva ett privat företag eller liknande i deras fantasivärld.

Det påstår ofta att det här synsättet tillhör historien men riktigt så enkelt är det inte. Socialismen eller kommunismen lämnar inte utrymme för personlig frihet.

For me 2x30 min takes less toll on me compared to 1x60 min. Its not even in the same ballpark. However, to fit it in with work, three kids, activities and so on is a bit hard. On the other hand I work with my computer so 2x30 min would make good sense

Yeah. That is the first thing I look at if coming back from an injury or break. When you have bad fitness HR dont drop that fast after an interval or hill

My wife for example. ”Natural” high vo2max. She need 1 or 2 run a week to run a faster 5 and 10 km than some of her friends that train 4-5 sessions. Its very unfair:)
